Discover this central Yarmouth bolt-hole as a fantastic, handy and peaceful cottage. Malt House is situated within sight of the wonderful expanse of the Solent and used as a family retreat with a lovely kitchen for friends and family to gather, cook and eat. Our Midge's Tips ideas file suggests: brilliant memorable sunsets at Yarmouth beach (a sandcastle sort of beach) - take the Harbour taxi, walk the dog from the cottage in an SSSI-Conservation area or where to dip-the-dog in the ocean, Yarmouth art gallery to rival St. Ives, visit Yarmouth RNLI gift shop and pier crabbing with (obligatory) crab race back to the water on the beach under the yacht club (a skimming stones sort of beach) - access by the slip at low tide. Bring your walkie-talkies.
Malt House is a stone's throw from Yarmouth ferry terminus; so easy without a car! Train to main line Brockenhurst (5th fast stop from Waterloo) then change for the ferry train, takes 8 minutes to reach the ferry jetty; you can see the captain from your railway carriage! Sail to Yarmouth in 40 minutes, ground coffee on board! As you roll your case round to the cottage try to decide which pub or restaurant you'll eat in first. Yarmouth has a Deli, chemist, post office, hole in the wall, corner shop, and a castle, all within easy walking distance of Malt House - we love to send children for a paper and more croissants or pate etc. Croissants sell out fast - deli opens at 8.30am - (Or order ahead and have your shopping delivered to the cottage, you add the cottage address to your account with Sainsbury's (Newport, IOW) or Waitrose (Cowes, IOW). Supermarkets are 20 mins by car.)

Only two comments contrary in past 7 years.
One family forgot to put a permit in dashboard and paid the price and one family felt there was a lack of outside space.
