Super sejour à 2 pas du centre historique
Très bel appartement a proximité de tous les monuments principaux de Palerme.
Lovely modern apartment in the heart of Palermo
We spent a full week in this highly interesting city with its great sights from many different eras and cultures. The apartment is next to Quatro Canti and 5 minutes from the airport bus stop in Via Roma (Rinascente store). So most of the sights can be reached on foot, there is also a free minibus for the historic centre.
The elegant apartment is very tastefully renovated with a stucco ceiling and frescoes, besides it is well equipped (good mattress as well) and stocked (coffee, tea, biscuits, jam...)! The host family gave us a warm welcome and Alessandro took great interest in our well-being and could always be contacted by cell phone.
The apartment is close to busy spots, so expect some noise in the evening - don't forget your earplugs if you are sensitive to noise. There are many nice restaurants, bars and coffee places in the vicinity. All in all, the apartment is ideal for exploring this exciting city! Thanks, Alessandro and family!
Edith and Klaus were perfect guests, it was a pleasure to host them and talk to them. of course they left the apartment in perfect condition, I recommend them to all owners. I expect them again soon in Palermo.

The apartment is located in the heart of the historic center of Palermo a few steps from the Quattro Canti, an important quadrilateral where Corso Vittorio and Via Maqueda intersect. On foot, we visit the numerous Baroque churches, some of which show the works of the Serpotta. The beautiful church of Santa Caterina (just cross the street, go up a few steps to get to Piazza Pretoria and take your left) where from this year the monastery belonging to the cloistered nuns can be admired and today empty and then shown to the public Facing the "Martorana" to admire the Arab art. Wonderful the small chapel of the Ladies in via Ponticello, where you can admire a beautiful baroque and a delightful coschetto. Continuing you can visit the church of "Casa Professa". At about 300 meters the cathedral of Palermo. A few more meters and you arrive at the Palazzo dei Normanni. On the way you can admire the church of "San Giovanni degli Eremiti" to always admire Arabic art. Very many shops. Very close the two most famous markets of Palermo, where you can enjoy the smells and the colorful colors offered by the merchandise and their sellers. What is written is only a fraction of what you can visit. Palermo also offers an excellent and varied quality of food, very good street food such as bread with panelle and bread with a spleen. Of course a few steps from the apartment, in Via Roma you will find "U Coppu", where you can taste wonderful fried food. At 500 meters along the "Cala" (you are on the sea) is "Pani Cà Meusa Porta Carbone", it is worth a tasty visit. At 100 meters a restaurant where you can enjoy fresh fish and pasta dishes cooked very well, "IL maestro di brodo" via Pannieri. Stroll along via Maqueda and via Ruggero Settimo, admiring the Teatro Massimo to get to Piazza Politeama and continue on Via Libertà. Do not miss visiting Mondello and going to Monreale you can not miss the Basilica of Monreale.
