Important: Chalet Martini is situated in the Swiss Alps, this may sound obvious but what is very important is that the weather is changeable and conditions can deteriorate very quickly. The chalet is situated at nearly 1800 metres and the snow fall can be very heavy meaning that vehicular access to the front door may not always be possible until the snow plough has done his job, you will always be able to get to the bottom of the driveway but the last 20m should only be driven if you are sure of the conditions.
Please make sure that your vehicle is fitted with winter tyres and has snow chains, this is the law in Switzerland and this is for a very good reason. This chalet is no different from many in the region and thought must be given to the environment that you are visiting.
Lovely spacious property, plenty of room for 11 of us and as described with amazing views. The chalet is a couple of minutes drive from the piste with free parking or you can jump on the free ski bus or if you fancy, it's a short walk. Good local amenities providing everything you need. Try out the local white wine, Fendant, a lovely dry white, great as an aperitif. Chalet agent very helpful. Only downside is there's no boot room but we stored our boots in the large utility room near the front door which was fine. Would recommend to others, easy to book and pay.
We were a group of 14 who had a wonderful holiday at Chalet Martini (14 persons is only possible because some of us were young people/children) - We have been on a lot of ski holidays but the view from Chalet Martini and the rest of the ski area is the most beutiful we have ever seen. - The Chalet is wonderful, the skiing is simply perfect and we really enjoyed our 7 holidays. Also we were so furtunate that the sun was shining all week. We hope to be able to come back some time and we strongly recommend this Chalet to others.
WE spent 10 days at Chalet Martini as part of a large group of 12.
The chalet, is superb. The fittings and finish are lovely, it was well equipped, extremely warm and the views across the valley are simply stunning.
The skiing is excellent and you can almost ski to and from the house.
La Tzoumas is a lovely town with everything you need and Verbier is a stones throw away.
The views from the Chalet itself are worth the visit alone!
As a large family group we went to this chalet in August 2011 and found it to be perfect for our needs. Would recommend it at any time of the year for a large group to share.
Chalet Martini is a beautifully furnished and a well equipped chalet to facilitate your ski break, the views from the chalet are breathtaking and the location is perfect for all your skiing needs. Would strongly recommend this place for your Swiss ski holiday.
We have just got back from a great week in one of our favorite little Secret Ski resorts La Tzoumaz which we have been going to for over 13yrs you can choose to stay and ski Villages side or over to the huge resort of Verbier and the 4 valleys
We have stayed in various apartments and chalet over the yrs but I must say none as Nice as Chalet Martini for so many reasons, one of the 1st I noticed was the view from our bedroom open the curtain in the morning and wham!! It’s amazing right over the Rhone valley with no one over looking us, the chalet really does have enough room for 14 people and without feeling that you’re on top of each other; you’re just a tiny walk to the nursery slope and 2 man chair or ski down to the Cable Car, the chalet is very well appointed with everything you could need it was spotlessly clean with loads of hot water which is so important with a large chalet and to top it all off there’s a great little Après bar just by the 2 man chair where we all meet up at the end of the days hard skiing called Bar des Etablons run by Alex who’s a great host.
I would recommend this Chalet to any of my friends or anyone that wants a great ski holiday
