Overview

About the property

With its Art Deco architecture, stylish interiors, and superlative sea views – Salty Towers is the perfect venue for a family bucket-and-spade holiday or a relaxing getaway with friends.

The house is just a couple of minutes’ walk from the beach, and only five minutes on foot from Sheringham town centre: a time-warp of traditional sweet stores, penny arcades and fish’n’chip shops. There’s even a working steam railway linking the town to nearby Holt, for added Victorian seaside nostalgia!

Inside, we’ve done our best to think of everything you might need. Upstairs you’ll find two bathrooms, a very spacious master bedroom, and four further bedrooms – allowing for a variety of sleeping configurations to suit your group.

On the ground floor, meanwhile, there’s a large, open-plan kitchen and living area, with plenty of comfy seating, a smart TV, and huge bi-folding doors opening onto a large, sea-facing deck. There's even a wood-burning stove and some boardgames, making this an excellent venue for cosy winter breaks as well as summer holidays.

Quite simply, if you’re looking for sea views, beach accessibility, town convenience and plenty of comfort - it doesn’t get much better than this.

You’ll find more information about our facilities below, but if you’d like to know more, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Exceeded our expectations

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful location, great for a family beach holiday. Salty Towers has everthing you could wish for to make your holiday complete with every comfort, with a well equipped veranda to linger on for meals and watching the glorious evening sunsets. We did have a problem on our second day with the shower, we rang the owner and with no time the maintenance hangs man, Andy, arrived to sort the problem out, which was going to cause a problem as the part needed was going to take sometime to find. But Andy persevered to make sure he could fix a temporary part to serve us with the shower until it could be properly fixed, going way beyond his duty. Thank You so much. Would love to return to Salty Towers in the future.

GREAT weekend away, fabulous time had by all :) would return!!

Perfect location! Comfy beds, great stocked kitchen, great modern TV.

LOVED the hanging egg chair. Lovely nik-naks around the house.

Great value for money.

Quick walk to both the sea & the town which had a good choice of cafe's, restaurants, shops & takeaways.

We all agreed we would happily stay here again & recommend to others.

Only 1 minor negative we felt, would have been about the front door. The combination code to open is fine, but at night it would have been nice to have had a key to double lock the door, or even a chain lock on the inside, just to feel extra safe.

But in no way did that affect our stay & I would not mark down for that, as most people may not even think of it. It could just be us :)

Thanks again!!

Plenty of room. Good position.

  • 3 of 5

We had a very bad start to our stay. On arrival the place had not been cleaned after the previous guest. No clean bedding. After trying to phone and emailing had done a lot of the cleaning ourselves and was just off to Cromer to buy new bedding the cleaner arrived nearly an hour and a half after entry time. Was told he didn’t know there was someone in that week so We were very fortunate they hadn’t had a late booking as we could also have had a fight with another guest wanting to stay.

Saying all that, the place was nice with lots of space.

Salty Towers is located just five minutes' walk from Sheringham centre, a traditional seaside town with ample restaurants, cafes, independent shops (butcher, fishmonger, grocer), penny arcades, fish'n'chip shops, pubs, and traditional sweet shops. There's also a working steam railway linking the town to nearby Holt, known for its excellent restaurants and independent art galleries.

Sheringham's beaches are a mixture of stony and sandy, and there is a promenade running along the length of the town. There is a boating lake at one end, and the North Norfolk coastal path continues along the clifftops to West Runton in the east and Salthouse in the west. National Trust-owned Sheringham Park also offers some lovely walks through wood and parkland.

The large seaside town of Cromer is just ten minutes away by car, offering end-of-pier shows, fairground rides, crazy golf, paddle boating, and famous 'Cromer crab'.

At Morston, 20 minutes away by car, you can take a boat trip to see the population of seals that relax on Blakeney Point every day. This is one of only two places in the world where Grey and Common seals can be found living together.
