Great Unit, Great Location
We stayed at this unit with our three Children in March of 2019. The apartment is very well appointed and well stocked with amenities. The hosts could not have been more gracious. The ski locker in the basement of the building was a huge plus.
The location of the unit could not have been more convenient - you can walk to pretty much anything (including the local grocery stores) in a very short amount of time. The train station and the ski lifts are also an easy walk away. There is a small park across the street from the condo that was great for our kids.
Well equipped modern apartment in an excellent location
Our family of four had an enjoyable stay in Haus Bor over a recent February vacation. The apartment is true to the photos and was clean and well prepared for our arrival. The kitchen, living, dining area is very large, bigger than the pictures appear, and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The bedrooms are good size and each consists of two twin beds that can be pushed together or separated as needed. There is a ski storage and a coin operated laundry in the basement. The best feature for us was location. It's a two minute walk to Gornegrat train, Sunnega lift, the ski bus, train station and the two main grocery stores. It was very convenient. Our 7 and 11 year old daughters appreciated the playground with a zip line that was directly across the street from the apartment. The only minor drawback is that the apartment is on the 1st floor so you can get some noise from the street but it was very minor and didn't bother us. I have no reservations recommending the apartment to others.
My husband and I stayed at this condo with two other couples for the week of New Years Eve and we couldn't have enjoyed it more. The photos don't do it justice -the apartment is very spacious, well-equipped and modern. There are balconies off of every room, one with a great view of the Matterhorn. The beds are extremely comfortable, the jacuzzi tub is quite luxurious and there are even heated floors in the entryway of the apartment. Also, the ski storage room in the basement of the apartment building (with its own entrance from the street) was very convenient for keeping our equipment overnight, rather than dragging it up to the apartment each day. The location is perfect, truly in the center of town. We had such a terrific time in Zermatt and I think this apartment was a big part of what made our trip so fantastic.
On the Italian border of the canton of Valais in the west of Switzerland, at the end of the 30 km-long Nikolaital, lies Zermatt, the village at the foot of the Matterhorn, the most photographed mountain in the world. For our guests from all over the world, Zermatt epitomises their image of Switzerland: high-alpine, awe-inspiring and original. Almost one-third of the 4,000-metre mountains in the Alps are grouped around this word-famous health resort, which has been visited by mountaineers from all around the world since the first successful ascent of the Matterhorn in 1865. The hotels and restaurants are world-class, and the ski area is not only the highest in the Alps – it is also one of the best developed and most convenient in the world, and that 365 days a year. The climate is of an excellent quality: with 300 sunny days a year. The air in Zermatt is clear, dry and clean, because, since 1947, only electric cars without a combustion engine are allowed to operate in the village.
