Geographically attractive, unusual and a bit dreamlike – Pelješac deserves to be listed among the most interesting tourist locations of the southern Adriatic coast that are most certainly worth visiting. The longest Dalmatian peninsula, it charms you at first sight with its picturesque landscapes and rejuvenates all who visit it.

Did you know that the peninsula was inhabited by Greeks, Romans and Illyrians in ancient times? A rich history spanning many centuries, from antiquity through the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, has left its mark in the form of the walls of Ston and other buildings such as Gothic-Renaissance palaces, churches and a Franciscan monastery.

The town of Orebic is an especially important tourist, economic and transport centre. Your attention will first be drawn to long sandy beaches and an extremely clear sea, but Orebic hides many additional features – from cultural and historic landmarks to sports, recreation and gastronomy.

Orebic is located at the foot of Sveti Ilija hill, in the forest splendour of centennial cypress trees. Immediately upon arrival in this picturesque town, you will smell the characteristic scent of Mediterranean vegetation. Across the canal of Pelješac, you will see the islands of Korcula and Mljet a bit further away. Those islands can be reached by one of the regular ferry lines going in both directions.

Get to know Orebic and its surroundings through walks along the seashore. For those looking for greater challenges, we recommend hiking to the top of Sveti Ilija. You can also enjoy the healthy Mediterranean air if you like more dynamic sports in the open. Play football or tennis on one of the many available pitches or courts, or embrace the wind and sail into the sunset.

As a true seaside town, Orebic will win you over with true delicacies from the sea. Your enjoyment of Dalmatian fish specialties with seafood and good wine can be well complemented by a klapa song. Pelješac is renowned for its celebrated red wines (dingac, postup), and many wineries enable you to taste them on the spot.

Visit Pelješac, come to Orebic and enrich your life with an experience of the true Mediterranean!
