Overview

About the property

Beautiful 5 bedroom English country cottage in grounds of 5 acres. Sleeps 9+1

Tickeridge Farm is a beautiful 5 bedroom English country cottage - ideally suited for getting together with family, friends and colleagues .

Its setting is perfect and wonderfully private – sitting in a large fenced garden with rolling lawns and views towards the Malvern Hills. It's no longer a working farm but is surrounded by 5 acres of our fields where you’ll find horses grazing.

It lies outside the quintessentially English village of Hanley Swan with its village green, lily-covered duck pond and a very welcoming pub with an open fire. During the restoration of this 16th century house, great care was taken to preserve its original elements whilst incorporating all mod cons.

Massive 30ft kitchen with range cooker, granite worktops, breakfast area, table to seat 10+ with french windows onto the terrace, gas BBQ, outdoor dining and croquet lawn.

Large oak beamed living room with comfy sofas and fireplaces at each end and a TV/games/reading area with a Smart TV- iPlayer, Netflix.

Downstairs cloakroom and a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer

Upstairs two bathrooms - with baths, walk in showers and heated towel racks and five comfortable bedrooms: two double bedrooms with kingsize beds, one single bedroom with a double bed and two bedrooms with adult sized bunk beds.

As you would expect duvets with cotton bed linen and towels are provided; electricity and oil central heating is included as is an initial very large basket of logs to feed the fires. There are a number of TV/DVD/CD players, a Klipsch iPod sound dock and WiFi. In the well equipped kitchen there is a range cooker as well as a microwave, dishwasher and a fridge/freezer

An extra fold-up bed (for +1 child); a travel cot and high chair are available.

How fortunate we all were to be able to Christmas here.

A complete success - thank you.

We loved the cosy fires.

Fantastic long weekend stay

  • 5 of 5

Tickeridge Farm met all our expectations and then some! The previous reviews did not do it justice! We hired the farm for a weekend surprise birthday celebration for my husband, and everyone had such a fantastic time. The house was extremely clean and outdoor area well maintained. The little touches like wine in the fridge were much appreciated. Dugald was incredibly helpful and flexible with our big party, and really made our weekend special. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tickeridge Farm nor to stay again! Thank you so much.

Absolutely Beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

This property has everything you could possibly want for a getaway. Beautiful setting, quiet and not overlooked, lovely and clean. Great wood burner, fantastic kitchen, bikes to go exploring, excellent local pub (The Swan best Sunday Roast ever!), village shop. It surpassed our expectations and we will definitely be going back. Dugald the owner was just so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so very much we were absolutely thrilled with our stay.

What an amazing place in a lovely country setting

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here with my family and friends family. The house was amazing and impressed me as soon as o got there. Looking around the place I felt that it looked even better than the pictures. Everything we needed was there and it was very easy to relax. Our kids are aged between 12 and 3 years old and it felt very safe letting the kids run around the house and garden. The village it's self is gorgeous and the country pub was perfect for lunch. I would definitely 100% recommend this place to anyone and I can't wait to go back, although next time for longer 😀😍

Wonderful Easter weekend retreat.

  • 5 of 5

Tickeridge Farm is a lovely old country house. It is a real escape from it all retreat, with all the comforts of a modern home. We were very comfortable and quickly relaxed into our weekend away.

A short walk across the fields field you to the village which we visited a couple of times to eat in the pub and use the village store. Our granddaughter loved walking past the cows and seeing the ducks on the village pond.

The 'older kids' thoroughly enjoyed the croquet, turning this traditional game into a hard fought tournament!

Tickeridge has everything you need for a wonderful break with family and friends. We definitely intend to return, especially in the summer months when we can spend evenings in the garden.

A wonderful family break in a beautiful cottage.

  • 5 of 5

This really is a beautiful cottage situated in wonderful surroundings. The property is extremely well maintained, most comfortable and very fully equipped - both inside and outside, the latter having bbq, sun-loungers and bicycles . The cottage combines a most interesting mix of old & new, the sizable lounge being cosy and having exposed beams & log burning stoves whilst the kitchen / dining room is bang up-to-date. Whilst the cottage is in a quiet location, the village of Hanley Swan is within easy walking distance and where The Swan pub merits a visit. The family (six adults & three toddlers) celebrated a big 0 birthday and had a most memorable time which will be talked about for a very long time. The whole occasion was truly enjoyable, and the care afforded by the owner (who kindly rang one morning to check that all was going well) and the caretaker (who was most helpful and made sure that all was in order for our arrival) was very much appreciated. Thank you - we will try hard to return one day.

immaculate cottage, great in every way

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful weekend at Tickeridge Farm enjoying everything from a blizzard to a beautiful sunny day. The cottage met and exceeded every expectation. Very well furnished,, very comfortable, good wifi, light and airy. beautiful location - views to the Malverns. A lovely double sided woodburning stove, to be toasty as we enjoyed netflix movies. The summer would be even better, with a great sitting out area in the spacious garden and good bikes in the garage. We had children from 2 to 25, they all loved it.

Friends easily joined us by train. Great Malvern station was just 10 minutes away.

Accommodating and supportive owner. Highly recommended.
