Jane and Paul, the owners, having just spent 9 years running a four star wedding and function venue in the UK, decided they would like to do something a little less pressured in a fabulous environment. Hence they opened their rental properties in 2017 in the glorious PERIGORD NOIR of the Dordogne. They have been coming to the this part of Aquitaine for years though, and will be on hand (as they live discreetly on site) to help you find the activities/ restaurants/ tourist sites which will make your holiday just perfect.

About Jane Bower
Paul and Jane, the owners, having just spent 9 years running a four star wedding and function venue in the UK, decided they would like to do something a little less pressured in a fabulous environment. During their many visits to La Balade au Bois Paul and Jane have always been filled with a wonderful sense of peace and repose and they just know that it will do the same for you.
Jane Bower purchased this Barn in 1992
Why Jane Bower chose Nabirat
La Balade au Bois is a historic building, part of which dates from the 16th century. The renovation of the buildings has been done by local craftsmen and has created a fabulous home from home- all the charms of the traditional farmhouse with every modern comfort. In addition staying at La Balade au Bois in Les Cabanes gives you a unique opportunity to be part of a traditional, rural French community. Take a walk in the hamlet and chat to our local residents- pop up to the strawberry fields and buy fresh strawberries from Didier, you might even be lucky enough to get some truly fresh hen's eggs from Mme Borde!
