La Binellerie gentilhommiere is a late 17th century 'gentleman's country residence' set in the peaceful countryside close to St Malo.

The 'Gentilhommiere' has been sympathetically renovated , retaining all the original oak beams ,to provide a unique holiday gite for 4 guests.Set in 1.6 hectares of gardens and farmland it is the perfect location for a relaxing holiday with family or friends.

The 'Garden gite ' is a newly renovated part of La Binellerie and provides a comfortable ground floor 1 bedroom apartment for 2 guests,

Each property has it's own patio/BBQ area with tables & chairs , a BBQ and sunloungers.

La Binellerie 'Gentilhommiere ' is the oldest part of this property,having been built in approx 1664, and has been sympathetically renovated , retaining all the original oak beams, fireplace and staircase. On the ground floor there is a spacious sitting room with sofas and a woodburning stove, both French & English TV and a Blu-ray player with a small collection of recent popular films.There is a dining table and chairs to seat 4 people comfortably and a door which leads into the kitchen. The fully equipped hand-made oak kitchen looks out onto your own patio and the garden beyond, and has table & chairs and sunloungers . Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms--1 double bedroom with en-suite shower room and 1 twin bedded room with it's own shower room off the landing. There is a baby's cot available if needed.

Liebevoll eingerichtetes Haus mit schönem Garten

Das liebevoll restaurierte Herrenhaus ist gut zu erreichen und individuell und sehr ansprechend eingerichtet. Es ist alles da was man für einen schönen Urlaub benötigt - bis hin zum Verpflegungskorb bei der Ankunft und frischem Gemüse aus dem sehr schön angelegten Garten. Susan und Steve sind wirklich herzliche Gastgeber, die sich um alle Belange ihrer Gäste kümmern.

Autenhalt in einem romatischen Ambiente

Wir danken Sue und Steve für die schöne Zeit in der Bretagne. Das Domizil ist sehr gut gelegen und bildet eine gute Ausgangsposition für Besichtigungen in diesem Teil der Bretagne, aber auch in der benachbarten Normandie. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und liebevoll eingerichtet. Es fehlt an nichts. Sue kümmert sich um alles und verwöhnt ihre Gäste immer wieder mit Kleinigkeiten aus dem Garten, der bei schönem Wetter zum Verweilen einlädt. Wir empfehlen dieses Haus und werden sicher wieder kommen.

First Class

We arrived just after 1800 and I must say we were both so impressed with the property and the hospitality we received from Sue and Steve. We stayed in the large House and you could not ask for anything more. It was like a home from home, we cooked in the property a few times and there was everything you could possibly need. This HAS BEEN ONE of the best places that we have stayed in long time. Sue kindly showed us round the smaller garden gite as well whilst we were there and that was also OUTSTANDING. we are both looking to go again in December. IF you book this you will not be disappointed. 5 Stars +

La Binellerie "Gentilhommiere" August 2015

In La Binnellerie gibt es zwei Ferienwohnungen, die kleinere "Garden gite" und die Einheit "Gentilhommiere" über zwei Etagen. Wir verbrachten zwei Wochen mit unserem 14 jährigen Sohn in "Gentilhommiere".

Die Beschreibung entspricht voll der Realität. Die Wohnung und die gesamte Anlage ist in einem sehr sauberen und sehr gepflegten Zustand. Die große und sehr komfortable Ferienwohnung ist im ländlich britisch-französichen Stil geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die geräumige Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Im landschaftsparkartigen Garten ist viel Platz mit verschiedenen Sitzgelegenheiten. Wir waren dort völlig ungestört. Die sehr netten und charmanten Gastgeber überraschten bei der Ankunft mit einem Willkommenspaket mit regionalen Spezialitäten.

Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl und können La Binellerie sehr empfehlen.

On another level...

...compared to other gites. La Gentilhommiere was a perfect base for our recent trip. The combination of a beautiful old house, Steve's incredible carpentry skills, Sue's tasteful décor and their commitment to restoring the house so sensitively mean it's a real treat to stay there. Their hospitality and warmth are the icing on the cake. We also got a peek at the Garden Gite whilst we were there and that is simply gorgeous too. We are fussy - this is a good place!

The location is so good for visiting Cancale, St Malo, Dinan and the surrounding areas and coast. All of these are only about 20 mins away. Other spots worth visiting are the beach near St Coulomb (Google "Anse de Guesclin") - if the tide's in and you fancy a swim, don't delay, the tide goes out far and fast!

More prosaically there is a McDonalds (backup wifi!) and Decathlon at the junction of the D137 and D4 (about 10 mins from the gite). Saint Suliac is worth a visit if you're after somewhere really close by. It’s a "Belle Village de France". The river by Taden has picnic spots and nothing else to disturb your peace.

Beautiful rural house, perfect situated

Couldn't have picked a more perfect place for our holiday. Sue and Steve gave some unvaluable recommendations and are so welcoming. The house is beautiful and homy with everything you need, tastefully renovated with a nice garden. We made daily trips to beaches and small villages around the area, our favourites were Cancale and St Lunaire. The weather was perfect and we will be back!!

La Binellerie is a late 17th century gentilhommiere, near Miniac Morvan, a short drive from the port and old walled town of St Malo, the seaside resort of Dinard,and numerous beautiful beaches along the magnificent Breton coastline.We are within easy reach of the medieval town of Dinan with it's ancient rampart walks and pretty cobbled streets.Dinan also has a river frontage with many delightful restaurants ,and boat trips up the river Rance. One of the most visited places in France ,Le Mont St Michel is about 30 min drive away, and Cancale, famous for it's oysters is about 15 min drive away.There you can sit in the sun on the sea wall and eat a plate of freshly opened oysters with a cold glass of Muscadet. For beach lovers , there are many to choose from both on the coast and along the river Rance and all of these places offer a huge choice of restaurants, whether you are looking for a lively atmosphere in the old town of St Malo or a more peaceful location by the river.

After a days sightseeing you can relax on your patio, or in our gardens, before venturing out again, or maybe a BBQ?There is so much to do and see here in Brittany, you'll be able to try something different every day.

Golf: There are some excellent golf courses nearby with club house facilities at Golf des Ormes and at the Golf St Malo at Le Tronchet. The nearest one being about 20 min drive away.
