Located in the popular Kaanapali Resort area (Just 4 blocks to the beach (1000 yds)), our TVR, four bedrooms, three bathrooms, two story, ocean view home offers great comfort and privacy. We just upgraded the kitchen with SS appliances, new counters and flooring, and upgraded flooring on the main level. A new full bath has been added to the lower level. Overall, the house has a queen bed Master suite, a 2-bedroom suite ( queen, 2 twins), and a single (Double bed) with separate bath.This spacious home, contemporary with beautiful wood, vaulted ceilings, overlooks the ocean toward the beautiful island of Lanai and neighboring Molokai. Within a three to four block walking distance to Whalers Village and the famous Kaanapali hotels, you can visit Dig Me Beach, shops, and great dining. The world famous Kaanapali Golf Course surrounds this location and large lanai's and Aloha spirit all makes your family vacation more enjoyable.

We opened our home to share with you a more private and peaceful experience. The house will make you feel right at home and provides lots of room for the big family get-together or special events when larger accommodations are necessary.

The home is fully furnished and the galley kitchen is equipped with refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, drip coffee maker, blender, and all kitchen utensils. Also included for your convenience are salt and pepper, assorted spices, plastic wrap, foil, baggies, napkins, paper towels, toilet paper, Kleenex, dish soap, hand soap, dishwasher soap, and lots of extra bedding and towels.

The home will comfortably sleep eight people with a queen bed in the master bedroom, a queen bed in the second bedroom, twin beds in the third bedroom, and a full bed in forth bedroom. Not well suited for 4 couples due to bedroom and privacy issues.

The home has three LCD televisions with remotes, one in the living room with DVD, one in the family room, and one in the master bedroom. The home has room air conditioners, stereo/CD player, washer and dryer, iron and ironing board, gas barbecue, broadband Internet service and wireless, phone answering machine, and extra hangers all make your stay more relaxing. The two lanai decks offer full 180 degree view of West Maui waters and Lanai, Molokai vistas. The home is approximately 2500 square feet and the interior is decorated in Hawaiian motif with pieces of artwork displayed for your enjoyment.

Plenty of toys include snorkel equipment, boogie boards, floats. 2 sets of golf clubs, 2 mountain bikes, kid sand toys and baby stroller.

Great family vacation home!

Bruce provides a wonderful vacation experience. From first contact he's very friendly, informative and helpful. His home is well appointed and great for multiple families to stay at. Any issues we came across Bruce was just a phone call away and happy to answer any questions we had. Great location, quick, easy walk to the beach or whalers village. Would definitely stay here again if we ended up with another group on Maui!

Sleeps 8? Maybe, not necessarily

We had a group of 8, trying to book this property for our upcoming vacation to Maui.

I booked it around 11 PM, central time, and, by the next morning, I got 2 messages from the owner, 1st one asking for details about our group and sleeping arrangements, and the 2nd one saying that our reservation was canceled because I did not respond in a timely manner. I then sent an email explaining that our group consisted of 8 people, 5 men and 3 women to which I got no answer. I decided to call and check a couple of hours later, only to be told by the owner that he doesn't think we would be a "good fit" for his property because "the walls are shallow" and he doesn't think the house is big enough for 8 adults.

He kind of caught me off-guard so I went back to check on the description and reviews. The description clearly states "The home will COMFORTABLY SLEEP EIGHT PEOPLE with a queen bed in the master bedroom, a queen bed in the second bedroom, twin beds in the third bedroom, and a full bed in forth bedroom." Other reviewers said they had groups of 8 and there was plenty of room.

At this point I decided to call back, only to be told this time that the house is meant for 4 couples and this is settled, after which he hung up on me. Why would you say the house is meant for couples when you have 2 single beds in 1 bedroom?

It is clear to me that he was trying to find excuses not to let us book the place. When you don't want someone booking your property, at least have the decency to explain why you don't want to, instead of making up some ridiculous excuses.

We have been using VRBO for quite a while now, most times for groups of 4+ without ever having to deal with anything like this. Fortunately there are plenty of other good options that don't have this kind of attitude towards customers

Owner's Response: The house is not suited for 4 couples as 3 would share 1 bathroom and the bedrooms are very close and not sound proof. We have had problems with 4 couples. We are the least expensive house in Kaanapali so when a client is refused, it is costly. The client did not listen to my objections and stated them incorrectly in their reply.

Bruce and Betty were so nice and welcoming! The house is beautiful and was perfect for us!! Great location so close to the beach and Front Street Lahaina where a good chunk of the restaurants and shopping are! We loved it! Thank you for letting us be guests in your home! It was everything we needed! =]

The home has a great deal of space. However, the cleaning crew left a lot to be desired. I knew it could be hot there, as. I had read some reviews.. The heat would not have been too bad had I not had to wash dishes for 8 people all week because the dishwasher was broken. We were told 3 different days that it was going to be taken care of, but that never happened.

The dishes inside the cupboard had to be washed as someone put them away dirty. My daughter in law said she had to kill ants inside the downstairs shower. The air conditioner unit started leaking causing the rug in the downstairs bedroom to become wet. The fan sitting on the master bath counter was filthy. The windows were filthy. The wall in the master bedroom had dirt hanging from it. The dirty kitchen sink near faucet and the condition of the under cabinets were disgusting? The vacuum cleaner was plugged. We took guests to this house as a vacation to them and us. It was embarrassing for me. They were understanding.

Owner's Response: Our first contact with the clients were with check-in. My first words to them is that they are my final QA and if something is not right I will get the cleaning crew back over there to clean. I repeated my request if they did not find it clean then I would get the cleaners over again. Their cleaning issues did not surface until the day before they were leaving. As I walk through the house with them and ask that you open cupboards, drawers, it is my way of getting you to notice these things so we can get them corrected. At the end of my walk through I repeat my request for QA and I am available 24/7 to handle such calls. The dishwasher was discovered to be broken upon arrival and being a holiday, no certified repair man was available until later to be installed during their stay. We purchased and delivered a new dishwasher but the plumber was not able to replace the DW. The certified repair was accomplished and the Customer compensated for each day of their stay. The dirty dishes in the cupboard should not have been there left over from a previous client. Our bad and cleaning team lead was made aware of the issues. We have a professional fumigation service and at the first sign of bugs we could have called for a redo. I have called now to reschedule the fumigation. Other issues are part of a deep cleaning scheduled for later this month. If we do not know of the issues we can not address them.

CANCELLATIONS – A 5% fee is applied to all cancelled reservations.
A forty-five (45) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than forty-five (45) days prior to the arrival date will be refunded less the 5% cancellation fee. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 45 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment and damage/reservation deposit. Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit. If the rental is rebooked for the cancelled rental period, a prorated refund will be provided.

10. MONTHLY RESERVATION CANCELLATIONS – Monthly renters must cancel sixty (60) days prior to check-in. Monthly renters who make a change that results in a shortened stay must be made at least sixty (60) days prior to check-in.
11. . The property requires a four(4) night minimum. Longer minimum stays may be required during holiday periods. If a rental is taken for less than four days, the guest will be charged the four-night rate.
12. INCLUSIVE FEES - Rates include a one-time linen-towel setup. Amenity fees are included in the rental rate.
13. NO DAILY MAID SERVICE - While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate however is available at an additional rate. We have laundry facilities for handling your daily linens and beach towels. If towels are lost or otherwise left un-useable, you will be charged a replacement fee.
14. RATE CHANGES - Rates subject to change without notice. Rates can be changed until booking is accepted.
15. FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS - Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not stay
