Just 10 minutes from Conwy and its wonderful medieval castle, Berthlwyd Hall is a very fine Victorian house set in its own extensive grounds. This grand country house was built in 1898 and the large oak front door perfectly sets the tone for what you will discover inside. Split into three properties, Berthlwyd Hall is the middle house. It’s ideal for larger groups with grand communal areas great for socialising and entertaining. There is an (unstocked) bar and pool table and each bedroom is ensuite. The sitting room is huge and leading out from there, Berthlwyd Hall guests have use of the shared gardens outside. As you might expect, the hall is full of Victorian charms and memorable original features. It’s very private and boasts some fine views of Conwy Valley in which it is found.
Close by is the beautiful Snowdonia National Park but closer still there are great walks and attractions, including world-famous Bodnant Gardens and its fabulous food centre. You can explore Conwy Castle and the town’s wonderful walls, part of a UNESCO world heritage site, or head to nearby Llandudno and the Great Orme, a massive limestone headland that hides the world’s oldest copper mines. Down the valley you’ll find Betws-y-Coed, an alpine village that boasts lots of great places to eat and drink and wonderful walks into forests, along fast-flowing rivers and up to serene, mountain lakes.
