The Mistal backs onto green belt open countryside resulting in breathtaking panoramic views, this spacious individual cottage is oozing with character, offering peace and tranquility for a small family, or hideaway for a couple, its just perfect. Designed by its owners to be a charming, romantic cottage for our family and our guests, we want you to feel as if you are staying at the holiday home of a friends. Fully enclosed gardens, open farm land to rear with beautiful countryside views ideal for country and river walks which are on your doorstep, close to all amenities. There are two local Indian restaurants local pubs which also do home cooked food , Chinese takeaways, fish and chips all within a 5/10 minutes walk of the cottage - There is a chemist and village store providing the basics for your stay, an hair salon, bakery, newsagent. The property has easy access to all amenities, including excellent restaurants and pubs for eating out.
The Mistal is easy accessible by car from either the M1 Jn 36 or A1 Jn 37. and by train which is a 10 minute taxi journery from the train. Local car hire is available from Enterprise in Barnsley-Darfield is served by 4 airports in the nearby vicinity-There are good train connections to Golthorpe and Wombwell 3 km which are serviced from all major train stations such as Doncaster / Leeds / Sheffield / Barnsley.
It is possible to walk to open countryside without crossing a road and the rans pennine trail, walking/cycling route is only 5 minutes away. There are 2 Indian restaurants within walking distance and a local pub serving meals. Yorkshire Wildlife Safari Park, canal boat trips, water sport parks, golfing, fishing, horse racing at York races, Pontefract races and Doncaster races, indoor and outdoor skiing, ice skating, swimming, pony trekking, Go Karting, stately homes and the Yorkshire Coal Mining museum with opportunity of going down the pit.The area offers castles, picturesque villages, grand houses and gardens, also a woodpecker who as become a regular visitor.
