Fantastic fully equipped duplex apartment (non smoking), located on a private country club development close to old Estepona on the New Golden Mile just west of Marbella. Whether it is access to wonderful golf courses, or close vicinity to the beach this is the place to choose. The true jewel of the urbanisation is its clubhouse. The apartment has 3 private terraces, secure underground parking with 7 communal swimming pools set within landscaped gardens. There is hot and cold air conditioning and a security system.
The property is situated between the charming old town of Estepona and the lovely Puerto de La Duquesa, both only about 5km /3 miles away. Cosmopolitan Marbella (great for shopping) and the dazzling Puerto Banus (great for people watching) are only 20min away by car and the lively resorts of Fuengirola and Torremolinos are within easy reach by car, bus or taxi. Children friendly. English resident property manager will meet and greet you.
More about the area: For the more adventurous, you can also take a day trip to Morocco on the fast Ferry from Algercias. Also in the area are several beautiful villages, towns and cites. These include Casares, Ronda, Mijas, Selville and Granada to name but a few. The nearest Mercadona (supermarket) is in Sabinillas, which is approx 1km away. Here you will find just about everything you need at very reasonable prices. There is a lovely restaurant in the Country Club itself which has an excellent menu and is very reasonably priced. About 200m away there are two very nice restaurants, Spanish and Italian. A 5 min drive in either direction will take you to Estepona or Puerto de la Duquesa where you will find numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs etc. Taxis can be ordered through the Country Club reception. Estepona is approx 5km away.

The beauty centre is divided in two areas; at one side you will find the UV cabins, the fitness room and the classroom for group lessons. On the other side you will find the thermal area which we divide in a relax zone equipped with six heated lounge chairs and the actual thermal zone with 3 pools, one for swimming at 31ºC, one for tonification at 12º and one hydro massage pool at 36 ºC with incorporated jacuzzi, a bubble chair and an area with hydro massage chairs.
Information about the complex: The development has 8 outdoor pools (one of which is right next to our apartment). Two of the pools have large chiringuitos (pool bars), these offer hot and cold food and a vast array of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, complete with service to your loungers. The country club, known as Albayt, is a truly magnificent complex which boasts features including indoor heated pool, a health spa which offers facials, hydro-therapy treatments and aqua-therapy showers, a fully equipped gymnasium, a tranquil relaxation chamber and a large lay-back jacuzzi pool, not forgetting the yoga and aerobics classes. There is also an on-line, email, and fax equipped reception, beautifully laid out restaurant (with large alfresco terrace) which over looks the golf course.

'My family and I had a fantastic holiday staying in Neil's three bedroom apartment on the Costa Galera resort in August 2007. The accommodation was clean and welcoming and well equipped for the five of us. The variety of pools available on the complex meant that you could always find a quite pool if you wanted and the family pool alongside the pool bar was a great place for the kids to make new friends and enjoy themselves safely. We stayed as a family group in January 17. Stair gates and high chair were provided for the toddler, and generally apartment was well equipped for our stay. We needed the heating on during the evenings, and found the inclusive allowance was sufficient to cover this . A car is required to make the most of the area which has plenty to offer in terms of days out. Unfortunately the spa resort was out of action due to flooding during recent storms so we could not used the indoor pool as planned . Only negative was the bedding which needed replacing but we fed this back to owner who intends to address this . Deposit returned in 2 weeks. Overall a good stay for the money.
We have just returned home from a fabulous week staying in this apartment. It is in a fantastic location and we only wish we'd booked to stay longer!

My family and I had a great weeks holiday in the early part of September. The apartment suited our family of four (with a 4 and 2 year old) really well. The kitchen was fitted out with all you would need to cook any type of meal and the multiple bathrooms on each level was a great benefit to. The facilities on the complex were well maintained and we made good use of the children's pool at the country club.
There are some great beaches within a 5 minute drive of the apartment, which are clean and child friendly and the sea was warm too. We found some good local restaurants which were family friendly but also had great fresh produce and variety for all.
I would highly recommend this location and apartment for any family. Its clean, well equipped and with a peaceful surrounding.
The place is great! Very well maintained. Close to Estepona and other beautiful place for quick day trips such as Ronda, Casares, Benahavis. Several nice beaches close buy to choose from. Neil, the owner is always making sure sure that things go well and that is very much appreciated.
We stayed 6 weeks and will definitely come back on the next opportunity.
Very nice place, well maintained. Some time has passed since it was built - this can be seen in some spots inside the flat - but didn't influence our very positive picture of the stay. Overall: nice gardens, pools more than you can try out in a week's time. All facilities around beaches, supermarket, nice restaurants in reach of 10 minutes by car (rental car definitely recommended!).

Wir waren Ende Oktober als Familie mit zwei Kindern im Alter von neun und elf Jahren in der Wohnung und hatten einen sehr schönen und ruhigen Urlaub dort. Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet und bietet Platz für bis zu sechs Personen - und Ende Oktober hatten wir die Anlage fast für uns allein. Die Apartmentanlage ist zwar etwas in die Jahre gekommen, an mancher Fassade hat die Witterung genagt, aber sie ist gepflegt und die Pools wurden täglich gereinigt. Ende Oktober hat die Sonne zwar nicht mehr die Kraft, das Wasser deutlich aufzuheizen, aber unsere Kinder hatten dennoch jede Menge Spaß vor allem am kleinen Pool nahe der Wohnung. Das große Apartment bietet zudem mit mehreren Balkons genügend Platz, um sich auch mal zurückzuziehen oder ein Buch zu lesen. Falls es kleine Probleme gibt, (bei uns ging zunächst nicht das Wifi) hilft der nette Verwalter Greg freundlich weiter. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in Form mehrerer Supermärkte sind in der nahen Umgebung. Auch der Weg zum Strand ist nicht weit, aber durch die Küstenschnellstraße, die sich durch den ganzen Süden zieht, nicht ganz so einfach zu Fuß zu erreichen. Ich würde darum auf jeden Fall einen Mietwagen empfehlen - auch weil dies Ausflüge deutlich erleichtert. Wir hatten jedenfalls einen sehr entspannten und schönen Urlaub in der Anlage und können die Wohnung uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.
Situated less than 500 metres from a local unspoilt secluded beach. If you prefer something more lively, the beautiful beaches of Playa del Cristo, Estepona and La Duquesa are only a
5 min drive. Likewise Sotogrande, Puerto Banus and Marbella are only 10 - 15 minutes away by car.There are several attractions close by to interest the whole family. Selwo Safari Park in Estepona with its animals roaming semi-wild is a great day out as is the Zoo in Fuengirola. There are also 2 Water Parks close by, one in Mijas Costa one in Torremolinos. A great day out is a visit to Gibraltar, (but don't forget your passport) where you can take a tour of 'The Rock' and have close contact with the Apes. For the more adventurous, you can also take a day trip to Morocco on the fast Ferry from Algercias. There are at least 40 golf courses along the coastline. Closest to the apartment are Estepona and Duquesa, both within a 5min drive and reasonably priced. The famous Valderama course is only 15min away.

On site there is a golf academy and driving range. Golf clubs are available to hire from the on-site pro shop within the country club itself and a range of green fees are listed at reception for numerous courses located in the area, including the PGA tournament course at Valderama. There is tuition available on the Costa Galera course, for driving and putting, from the 1997 PGA tour coach.
Ski: You can actually ski or snowboard in the resort of Sierra Nevada in the province of Granada which is a 2 hour drive away.
