DON'T TOUCH THIS PROPERTY!!!!
We booked in a holiday from the 18th of March - 20th of March. On the 19th it was snowing heavily. We contacted the owner to see if we can arrange alternative dates, she told us that she was just about to contact us as the lane is blocked with snow and we would therefore not be able to access the property.
We therefore arranged with the owner alternative dates - the 25th - 27th March. The owner did not update Homeaway about this change in date until after the original holiday dates had passed so that she would receive the money from Homeaway (Owners only receive payment once the holiday has been).
Once she had received the money she sent a message through the messaging board stating that we need to pay another £40 for our new dates OR ELSE OUR HOLIDAY WILL BE INVALID!!
This was a disgrace after she had told us on the phone that her property was blocked with snow and we could not access. She cunningly did NOT say we would have to pay extra until she had the our money safely in her account.
We sent a message to her asking her for a full refund for the holiday as we were very upset that she had been so dishonest. Instead of listening she went and CANCELLED THE WHOLE HOLIDAY AND REFUSED TO GIVE US ANY REFUND AT ALL!! She 'sweetly' offered that if we want, we are 'welcome' to come the dates we booked but must pay the full price again!!
TAKE MY WORD: DO NOT TOUCH THIS PROPERTY!!!!! P.S THE OWNER LIVES NEXT DOOR!!
