Coast/Beach: Nearest beaches at Aberaeron, New Quay, Llangrannog, Penbryn, Tresaith, Mwnt and Aberporth (all between 20 and 45 minutes by car). Travel: Cardiff Airport 2 hours. Carmarthen train station 30 minutes. Aberystwyth train station 30 minutes. Use of car recommended. Distances: Lampeter 2 miles. Further Details: Lampeter is a market and University town. It has all main banks, two large and two small supermarkets, several pubs, restaurants and take aways. It has a sports centre, tennis courts and swimming pool, an excellent library, and a health centre. Walking - many local paths into the hills, spectacular Ceredigion Coastal Path and walks in the Cambrian Mountains. Cycling - level cycle routes on local lanes and old railway tracks. Mountain biking at Nant-y-Arian and Brechfa Forest. Fishing - salmon and trout on River Teifi, several coarse fishing lakes, sea fishing in Cardigan Bay. Boating - sailing and other watersports in Cardigan Bay, sightseeing boat trips along the coast, and canoeing on the River Teifi. Riding - trekking in the mountains on horseback.
