About KATHERINE TAHERI
Katherine bought our beautiful home just before September 11th, 2001, and it quickly became a refuge for family and friends to gather and share the important things in life! She is creative, and is an artist and writer. During her business career she owned several businesses, including an Irish Pub, and retired in 2014. Zach, her son, is an Epic Programmer for Stanford Children's Hospital and currently lives in Half Moon Bay with his wife, Laura. Her eldest son, Pehr, lives in Cartersville. Katherine and Kuni live in Rockmart on a farm that invites boarding dogs for stay-vacations while their humans are on holiday.

Why KATHERINE TAHERI chose Cartersville
You could not find a better sit back and relax place than this home. We are within 15 minutes from Lake Point Sporting Community, and within a 15 minute walk to a Environmental Preserve. Cartersville is halfway between Atlanta and Chattanooga or the Georgia Mountains. There are several nearby rivers for boating and fishing. We are also within 30 minutes to both Kennesaw State University and Martha Berry College. And frankly, it is just a great place to stay!
What makes this House unique
Each room has a unique feel. Because of the distance to the next home, the stillness invites peaceful moments on the porches or for conversation, reading, hiking, sleeping!

The Perfect Getaway!
This property has it all! Its secluded location surrounds you with wooded serenity, yet a short drive gets you to all the shopping essentials. The house is filled with all the comforts of home as well as unique, original art. The basement game room provides a completely separated space from the main living area - ideal for kids to play or a quiet spot to grab an afternoon snooze. Fireflies, hummingbirds, chipmunks, armadillos and deer are frequent guests. Katherine is welcoming and accessible - the perfect hostess! We could not be more delighted with this spot!
Suzy and her family were wonderful. Definitely great communicators and seem to delight in the home, and being together, which is always the best review for a Host. (When you guests are happy during their stay, you are at ease!). Dishes were run, a load of wash started, and the home left as it was found....perfect. And, the hummingbirds were fed. I could not have asked for more as a homeowner!
someone put up dirty cookware, had to wash pans before we could use them. this could have them other guest. the cabin was great, enjoyed it very much!want to rent again!
Oh my, Dennis, thank you for letting us know about the dirty cookware! We don't always check what is in the cupboard put away, but this reminds me to do so when we have more than a few hours between stays! I'm so sorry you had this inconvenience, but very appreciative that you shared it with us. I will get in there and sort that out. Very much appreciate the good rating. Thank you. Katherine
Truly a gem in the country
Katherine, thank you so much for having us at your house. It was lovely, super comfortable, and the kitchen was extremely well appointed, other than (I wrote this in your book) I couldn't find a regular grater, like for cheese. There were two small graters, but not appropriate for cheese. LOL (I know...just bring grated cheese)
It was a very busy week. I wish we had had more time to spend at your house and enjoy all the nature surrounding it, but we had three days filled with non-stop activities for my niece's wedding at the Barnsley Resort. One of my sisters also rented a house at Lake Arrowhead, and we spent Thursday afternoon there. Friday evening there was a cocktail party outside at one of the Barnsley outdoor venues. Other than my family and my sister's family, everyone else stayed at the Barnsley. There were over 200 people at the wedding. It was a gorgeous and wonderful wedding.
Your house has inspired my family to try to find a lot on water (not the beach, I hate sand) to build with the same distribution of rooms: basically a master on the top floor with bathroom, a huge master and ensuite on the first floor, and a lower level rec room with pool table and two bedrooms with a shared bath. That layout was ideal. It worked out perfectly for my unmarried kids, and my married daughter who has three kids. She lives in Lawrenceville, and her family has rented several cabins in the GA mountains, and she said that your house was one of the nicest they'd stayed in. I agree. We especially appreciated the hardwood floors on the first floor, since she brought her nine month old's walker and he made good use of the whole area. We did have to move the rug in the foyer, but other than that he managed to run us all over. We just all had to be on our guard to protect our toes and heels... Ouch!!!
Katherine, thank you again for your lovely home. I'm so glad we selected your house because we all had a wonderful time there. Just way too short!!!
What a fabulous review....(A grater will be there next time you come!). The detail gives everyone a sense of our place and the local spots to visit. The home was left perfectly....sheets pulled and a wash begun, dishes done, and the home as we normally keep it! Best guests!
Please come again! Katherine
I booked this cabin for my relatives that were visiting for a wedding and it was a wonderful place! It was very spacious and cozy! It is definitely tucked a way for a great getaway! The cabin and surrounding area is filled with charm!
We would recommend for sure!
Hi Eden. Thank you for this wonderful review. You left our home perfectly....always a delightful surprise when we come in and see it used, and cared for. So happy to hear from you about your stay. Thank you.
Wonderful tranquil place to visit
We used this home for a family get together and it was perfect. The home was well stocked with all of the essentials, there was plenty of room, and the peaceful location is totally relaxing. Great place to get away from it all! Thank you Katherine for sharing your home and letting us make some amazing memories there!
Cheryl and her family were great. The home was left with the used sheets brought to the laundry...so helpful, and we heard during the stay how they were doing. So happy to host them all!
Thank you for a wonderful stay!! We thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful and quaint location of the home. Perfect get away!
Thank you, Colleen. Thank you for staying in touch and taking such good care of our home. Wonderful guest.
We are the perfect house for those participating in Lakepoint Sports. In addition, the Tellus and Western Art Museums are in Cartersville, nearby Gulfing and, most importantly, we are adjacent to the private Pettit Environmental Preserve, on Lake Dellinger, which had over 4 miles of trails for exploring Geogia's eco systems.
