Knockaraha West Luxury Lodge is a large luxurious family residence set on a 6 acre site overlooking the Belclare River and Croagh Patrick beyond. It is just 3kms from the bustling tourist town of Westport.
As it is a bungalow, all rooms in this home are set at ground level. A large entrance hallway gives a glimpse of the opulence you can expect within the rest of the house. The large comfortable sitting room has a cosy comfortable couch and armchairs along with a welcoming open fire, TV and DVD player. Sky satellite channels are available and WIFI is free of charge during your stay.
A door leads from the sitting room through to the kitchen. This is a very well equipped kitchen designed for living. It has all the appliances you would expect along with a table to sit up to 8 people. A separate utility area is home to the washing machine and tumble dryer along with a Sauna which guests are welcome to use!
The dining room is an elegant and stylish room tastefully decorated for pure indulgence. Perfect for a family gathering or for entertaining.
There are four bedrooms. The master double bedroom is ensuite with a bath and shower over it. It also has a children's single bed in the room. There are three more double bedrooms. Two of these rooms are ensuite with toilet, wash hand basin and stand alone shower.
The views from this home really are spectacular and you will truly feel like you are in your own private paradise as the house is very secluded from any other properties. The lawn is enormous and is home to a children's play area along with a makeshift football field to keep little ones entertained. A long driveway leads up to the house giving you great privacy.
There is a petrol station and small shop within a 2 minute walk of the house and the town of Westport is just a 5 minute drive away.
The town of Westport is one of the few architecturally planned towns in Ireland and offers a wide range of craft and woolen shops, traditional pubs with live music and superb restaurants, many specialising in seafood. Westport is an ideal base for touring Connemara, Sligo, Galway and Donegal, all of which are within easy driving distance. It is also within easy reach of many superb sandy beaches and forms part of the Wild Atlantic Way.
