Casa Moro is a traditional lamia that has been restored and extended to provide luxury modern accommodation combined with traditional Italian architecture, furnished with an eclectic mix of antiques and stylish modern pieces.
Set in the peaceful countryside just 4km from Ostuni, Casa Moro sits in three acres with seventy olive trees and has its own private pool and bocce (boules) pitch.
An original trullo forms the entrance hall and leads into a large vaulted sitting room, with fireplace, which in turn opens onto the covered terraces providing shaded dining and sitting areas. The kitchen is the old cantina with a stone vaulted barrel ceiling and is well equipped for the aspiring chef.
The three bedrooms each have air conditioning and their own private ensuite shower room. The master bedroom has a four poster super king size bed, whilst ‘The Lamia Suite’ has a wonderful traditional fireplace with seating alcove and its own private staircase leading to the roof, from where you can catch the setting sun and views over the surrounding countryside. Bedroom 3 can either be used as a twin room or super king double.
You never have to be without your music – just connect via Bluetooth to the Bose Soundtouch system from your own device.
Summer life is all about the outside. The pergolas wrap around the house and provide some welcome shade for dining or resting on the deep built in sofas and lead to the beautiful, illuminated private pool (11.5m x 3.5m). Set on the lower terrace you will find Bocce pitch a wonderful entertainment for all ages whilst having your first aperitivo of the evening! Take a wander around the three acres and find your own perfect spot to nestle under an olive tree. Guests are welcome to help themselves to figs and almonds when in season.
The outside kitchen next to the covered dining area traditionally becomes the main focus in the summer months providing an alternative cooking space and incorporates a large barbecue, sink, gas hob and outside drinks fridge.
Great attention has been paid to the quality of fittings and furnishings, including Villeroy and Boch china and cutlery and white Egyptian cotton bed linen. Traditional hammam towels are provided for the swimming pool.
A comprehensive information pack is provided in the house, giving details and maps/directions for places of interest and restaurants to help you enjoy and discover for yourself the pleasures of this beautiful part of Italy.
Please understand that following the refurbishment the landscaping is in its infancy and further photographs will be added as this develops.

About John & Karen
We bought Casa Moro in 2016 and have spent eighteen months restoring and extending the property and adding the swimming pool. We are both involved with property in the UK and have tried to apply the same attention to detail as we do to our projects at home. We are passionate about all things Italian and have created a home to be shared with our two grown up sons, our friends and now with you.

Why John & Karen chose Ostuni
Having previously searched for a property in the Le Marche region of Italy, we came to Puglia for a break in early 2016 and fell in love with this beautiful, vibrant part of Italy and everything it has to offer – the beaches, the food and wine and of course the very friendly locals. The minute we entered Casa Moro we knew it was the one. It certainly has a special feel and the peace and tranquillity made it the perfect house for us.
