Fantastic views and total peace
We stayed in this villa from 23rd - 30th September. When we arrived we found fresh fruit and vegetables waiting for us which was wonderful. The villa was very clean and had everything you could need, the pool was lovely and well looked after. The balcony looks out over the sea and the views were amazing, particularly during the sunset. The villa is about 10 minutes by car from Fiscardo but only a few minutes from a couple of other villages all with tavernas.
Spiros, the manager of the property, was extremely helpful. We were sad to leave.
Prime View Villa is well named in that it sits on the second rise from the coast affording a marvellous view of the forrest and ancient buildings and then a perfect view of the sea. The terrace and rooms are built over the garage so, though a single storey property, the living area is elevated. Each evening you can see the sun dip behind the horizon illuminating both the sea and the swimming pool. Once you’re in bed, you can see the reflection of the moon shedding it’s light onto the pool and the very calm ocean.
From a more practical point of view, the location is excellent. Whilst being totally private, it has easy access by car (a must have) to the tiny village of Maganos where there are two good stores and three restaurants. A further 5 or 10 minutes takes you to the buzzy port of Fiskardo, full of yachts with restaurants and bars. Parking is quite easy and free. Not far from the villa are a number of beaches, some with sun beds and umbrellas, others virtually deserted. All are good in their own way.
Spiros and his girlfriend Natalie couldn’t be more charming and are on hand should you need them but unobtrusive if like us you value your privacy.
The property is not overlooked and very sweet looking. You have to close the gate so that wandering goats don’t munch the garden, tended by Spiros’ uncle who is in his late eighties. A cat, nicknamed ‘Dave’ by previous holidaymakers, visits and is not adverse to a saucer of milk or a snack.
We had a perfect holiday. The weather was great (in the early thirties third week of September) and we would definitely repeat the experience.
Amazing villa with hosts that could not do enough for us
We stayed at the villa and originally came for four days. We extended it to a week as it quickly became apparent that four days would not be enough. The views from this property I think are unrivalled on the island. They are simply stunning.
Spiros and Nataly were such kind and supportive hosts. Always making sure we were comfortable.
There are many places to eat nearby (Picnic for breakfast is a must) and plenty of beaches and coves to explore.
A car is necessary even though we did walk to the local restaurant one night (Ronzo Ionia) which was fine and took about ten minutes. They are shut on a Monday but we went twice in one week it was so good.
We enjoyed ourselves so much we are going back in September!! Thank you Spiros and Nataly.
