Recently renovated house, moments from one of England's finest sandy beaches!

Bedrooms 4
Space 2,150 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 5 nights

About the property

A lovely, new, brightly renovated and deceptively spacious detached house, situated on a quiet sandy lane just a few moments from the wonderful sandy dunes and fantastic beach of Camber Sands.

On the ground floor the hallway leads to a large open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting room complete with wood burner. Huge sliding doors lead outside onto a lovely sunny area of decking and lawn. There is also a separate 'snug' with bean-bags, flatscreen TV and games, great for the younger ones!

A door off the kitchen leads to a fully fitted utility room, with washing machine, tumble dryer and coats cupboard. Outside the back door is a heated shower, great for rinsing off after a day on the beach.

Also on the ground floor are three large double bedrooms, two with en-suite bathrooms and one further family bathroom.

On the first floor is a fabulous master suite consisting of large bedroom, dressing room and en-suite bathroom.

From this bedroom, large doors lead onto a balcony, where you can relax and watch the sun set and listen to the sound of the sea.

A short drive in one direction will take you to the lovely historic market town of Rye, which has a very diverse and interesting range of restaurants and shops. In the other direction lies Dungeness and its intriguing costal habitat. Hastings and Eastbourne are also not far away.

About Maryanne Marsh

We live in Kent and have been visiting Camber Sands since our daughter was a baby and now some years later, decided it was time have our own home here.

We love the way the beach changes throughout the seasons and the amazing colours, especially at sunset. Camber does seem to have its own micro-climate. There have been many times when the skies are black at home and Camber is in full sunshine. We also love the restaurants in Camber and Rye. Particular favourites of ours are the Gallivant for a more special meal, the Dunes bar for a good solid pub meal and the many varied restaurants in Rye. Coffee shops are great too. The Salt Farm shop, on the way into Camber from Rye, has some excellent food and fresh vegetables. For those who enjoy getting on with life and not spending too much time over the cooker, like me, they also sell an excellent "Cook" range.

Our daughter enjoys most sports, so another good reason to be in Camber as there is plenty to do. We love walking and there really are plenty of places to discover. We love to spend some time at Rye Harbour, a lovely lunch in the William the Conquerer, followed by a walk through the wildlife bird sanctuary, very close to the pub, makes for a perfect day. After a day like that it is wonderful to be curled up back at Corkwood with a lovely glass of wine.

We like to wander through the old Strand Quay Antique and Collectables shops in Rye.

After all the years visiting Camber, there is still much to discover. We just hope you love it as much as we do.

Why Maryanne Marsh chose Camber

We have stayed in various holiday homes in Camber over the years and, although being on the beach is very special, we did feel a little overlooked. We were also very exposed to the weather, which is why we decided to purchase Corkwood. We like the fact that it is so close to the beach, on a sandy no through road.

What makes this house unique

Corkwood is a Tardis. It feels like a real home.

Perfect house for family holidays

Cosy, spacious, very clean, well located close to the sea. The main room is ideal to share good moment. Maryanne and Roger were very friendly in every step, with for example a huge welcom basket waiting for us. A place to locate without hesitation
