Near Sitges: Sitges has all a traveller could ask for, beaches, restaurants, night clubs, golf etc.

I came to Spain in 1984 due to my work as the Managing Director for the Spanish subsidiary of a US Fortune 500 corporation.
In 1987 I aquired La Granja in Sant Pere, Sitges and my family and I have lived here on and off since then.
Olof Persson, Owner purchased this house in 1987
La Granja has a lot of charm, as it is a unique property dating back to 1861 and being as a countryside estate, although it is situated in the middle of the village with five minutes walking distance to supermarket, banks, bus station etc.
You have a lovely view of Sitges and the Mediterranean from the property.
The property is ideal for the summer as it is built with enormously thick walls and having galleries outside all the bedrooms, preventing the sun to access.
It has a lovely garden, ideal for children with sandbox, swings, pingpong and it is totally secluded.
The lovely pool is with complete privacy, despite the property being in the middle of the village.
You can benefit from the tranquility of Sant Pere whilst Sitges with its flashy night Life, the Sitges gay Community and Sitges beaches are only ten minutes away.
My family have been enjoying a week's holiday in various European houses always large (we are a group of between 14 and 20 persons) over the last 8 or so years and this year's stay in La Granja was one of the successful. The house is beautifully appointed, in a stunning setting and was most definitely one of the most comfortable houses we have ever stayed in.
As a family of twelve, with ages ranging from two to seventy, we stayed at La Granja for a week in July 2013. What we read about it accurately described what we found and it more than lived up to our expectations. We all had an excellent and memorable holiday there. The facilities were absolutely suited to all members of the family. There were plenty of things for the children to do and plenty of facilities where the the adults could relax, especially the lovely barbecue area. We all enjoyed using the fantastic swimming pool every day. La Granja's situation, not far from Barcelona and near Sitges, makes it an excellent site for visiting nearby places of interest. The service we received from everybody involved was excellent. To sum up - we couldn't have found a better place for a family holiday. We would have no hesitation in going there again.
Our extended family stayed in this beautiful property for a week in July. We had a wonderful holiday and we could not have been happier with our choice of accommodation.
We 6 middle-aged ladies who meet each year in the last week of September. We have rented houses in Tuscany, Brittany, Berlin, Kent, Knokke, Minorca, western Sweden etc. This year Sitges was decided upon. We rented cars at the airport and had an easy 30 min drive to the house which was in fact more like a castle we thought. We all had our own bedrooms with comfortable beds and spotlessly clean bed linen and bathrooms complete with shower gel and towels - even big pool towels.
The owners greeted us on arrival with welcoming drinks and showed us around the property. The kitchen was super well equipped and even oil, vinegar, salt, pepper etc provided. They gave us local maps and useful information about what to see in the area but of course Barcelona was our main goal. An easy busride from our village took us into the centre of this bustling city and we spent two full days there. It was heaven to come home to our castle and beautiful pool and prepare a meal in the big kitchen to be enjoyed outside on the vine covered terrace.
A few minutes away we enjoyed Sitges, a lovely town with long sandy beaches, lovely restaurants and super shops. We drove to different tourist sites and also visited the Freixenet factory where the bubbly Spanish champagne can be enjoyed. The weather could not have been better and all in all we had the holiday of a lifetime. Thank you La Granja and maybe we'll meet again!
