Stroll down the lane to the centre of Bonnes taking in it's character which includes a 12th century church, chateau and the river Dronne. Amenities include boulangerie, bar/restaurant and beauty salon. Beautiful countryside surrounds the village offering interesting walks of various lengths.
Bonnes is on the edge of the Charente/Dordogne border and lies between the villages of Aubeterre sur Dronne and St Aulaye. Aubeterre sur Dronne is listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France with its beautiful natural surroundings and historical monuments. Meander the interesting streets visiting specialist shops, local potteries etc and relax in the village square to soak up the French ambiance with its cafes and restaurants. There is a river beach with many outdoor activities available. You can canoe from Aubeterre to Bonnes along the River Dronne.
The village of Saint Aulaye again offers pleasant strolls through the narrow streets and a river beach with many outdoor activities including outdoor swimming pool.
We feel this area offers an enjoyable family holiday, creating memories for years to come.
The property is well placed to explore parts of the Charente and the Dordogne, namely Angouleme, Cognac, Perigueux, St Emillon, Brantome, to name a few.
