Just a short stroll from the property is the local pub which is known for its locally sourced food and welcoming atmosphere. Just one mile south of the property the village of Hawkshead has a wide range of shops as well as the interesting Beatrix Potter Gallery and the historic Hawkshead Grammar School which dates to when William Wordsworth was a pupil. The shore of Lake Windermere is close by offering plentiful opportunities for boat trips water sports hikes and cycling routes. On entering this charming 17th century farmhouse you will find yourself in the spacious lounge where you can snuggle in front of the cosy wood burner. With exposed beams deep-set windows comfortable seating and TV/DVD this is a perfect room to relax in. To the rear of the room is the dining table perfect whether you re sitting down to an evening meal or a lunchtime snack. In the stylish kitchen you will find everything you may need including a large range electric oven and gas hob fridge freezer dishwasher and microwave.
