About the property

Beautiful cottage just a few minutes walk from the beach

Beautifully presented, with gardens to the front and rear, Mellow Cottage is the ideal base to relax and unwind. This holiday cottage sits on a quiet road, just minutes from the bustling and family-friendly resort of Perranporth. Perranporth is very popular with families, due to its 2 miles of golden sands, complete with surf hire, rock pools and a popular beach bar that serves home-cooked food and local ales, and hosts live music right on the beach. A golf course backs the town, as does a wide expanse of sand dunes, complete with an ancient buried church, an ideal walking area.

A great base, that instantly feels like home, for exploring the glorious Cornish coast. Sandy beaches are a stroll away and Truro is close

On a quiet road leading down to the beach in charming Perranporth is your homely terraced stone cottage. Thoughtfully restored by arty owners, it's filled with an eclectic mix of furniture and paintings, and is crisp and clean whilst also being hugely welcoming. Perfect for a family or group of friends, there's bags of space to spread out, with an open-plan seating area as well as a cosy sitting room with comfy sofas and a wood-burner. Rustling up group meals is easy in the well-stocked and fully equipped kitchen, and all can gather comfortably at the large wooden dining table. Upstairs are your cosy bedrooms with sturdy beds, pretty cotton bedlinen and jolly rugs, as well as the smart contemporary bathroom with big bath and walk-in shower. There are plenty of books and games to keep guests of all ages occupied, but the great outdoors beckons: walk the coastal path, surf, laze on the beach, wander around picture-perfect Cornish towns, and sample delicious local food. Return to a barbecue on the decking, or a perch on seats just down the road and watch as the sun sets over the sea.

Numerous tourist attractions can be found nearby, including Holywell Bay Fun Park, Lappa Valley Steam Railway, National Trust houses and gardens, Creally Adventure Park, Dairyland Theme Park and Newquay Zoo. Sea fishing and boat trips can be arranged from Newquay, and a short drive up the coastal road will bring you to Watergate Bay, the home of Jamie Oliver’s restaurant, Fifteen (booking essential). Beaches, surfing, cycling, walking, dramatic cliffs, horse riding, woodland walks and a local cider farm are all available close by.
