About Millie Lennox
Hello, we are Eddie and Millie Lennox from the Mid Ulster area near our home town of Magherafelt. As a family more used to living in the country we purchased this holiday home early in 2017 for our extended family and friends to enjoy peaceful days by the seaside with that cosy feeling of Village life. Although we have owned this home for only a short time we have gained some very good friends during the extensive renovation period and hopefully for life. We carried out the renovations ourselves with help from friends and during this time the neighbours where a great help and enjoyed the latest updates on how things where getting on.

Why Millie Lennox chose Castlerock
This property is located in a quite residential area of Castlerock. There is quite a strong community feeling with everyone looking out for each other. We have very good neighbours always willing to stop for a whiles crack and gossip and always willing to tell you what's going on in the area. The Holiday home has all the benefits of a standard sized house with a secure rear yard for the children all to help you enjoy your stay safely without that cabin feeling. You will find we have provided those small items for all the family, especially those that make a house a family home but don't fit into the suitcase. Some toys for the kids, free WIFI, a small collection of DVD's and a good read for cosy nights in front of the wood burner Stove.
What makes this House unique
The Blue Doors is perfectly situated to North Coast transport links and for you to enjoy rural country walks down School lane towards the Mussenden Temple and Black Glen or a beautiful evenings stroll along the sea shore. Its Close to all the village amenities, use the short cut down Duck lane to the play areas. Cross the Railway footpath to the bars and restaurants and the Beach is great for the children with no need to worry about the car or travel. Just hop on the Train and travel from as far as Londonderry to Dublin taking in Coleraine and Portrush or take the bus from the stop on Freehall Road to where ever the wind takes you.

Lovely clean house
We had a great weekend getaway with the family. Our 2 children loved lying in bed watching tv at night and we walked and explored all the spectacular nearby scenery during the day. There was loads of information at the house of the nearby attractions and the house was lovely and clean with everything we needed. We had a lovely fire on Saturday night, thanks for having it all set up for us to light.
Thank you the Kinane family for such a lovely review and thanks for leaving our holiday home in such a clean condition this is much appreciated. Please feel free to contact us directly if you ever want to stay in Blue doors again, we look forward to hearing from you and the north coast has so much to offer and explore.
Lovely holiday home
We had a lovely week in Castlerock. The house is clean, spacious and furnished to a high standard. Castlerock is a much smaller, quieter town than Neighbouring Portrush and Portstewart, with a beautiful beach served by lifeguards. The house is walking distance to the beach, a playpark, the train station, National Trust properties and a lovely cafe on Main Street, called The Coffee Hut- it’s wide range of cakes are all locally made. There is plenty more to explore in this beautiful park of the coast.
Thanks Helen for your review and we hope you enjoyed your time Within the Blue Doors. Castlerock may be the smaller relation to the Ports on the North coast but I'm sure you will agree that it leaves many fond memories for years to come. Please feel free to get in touch whenever you want to stay again.
Stayed at Millie’s property in Castlerock from 25th to 28th May 2018. Met by Millie and Grandson Thomas on arrival, who kindly gave us a welcome pack and immediately made us feel at home. We were shown round and advised on operation of heating, hot water, cooking facilities and Wi-Fi. It was an ideal size for my family party, which included my 2 young grandsons. The property was very child friendly, with a secure back garden allowing the kids to play safely. The open plan living room and kitchen was ideal for the baby walker, with the gated stairs ensuring there was no danger of access for the kids. All bedrooms were spacious, 2 of which included TV/DVD’s, easily accommodating the 4 adults and 2 children in my party and allowing the grandsons some bedtime DVD’s. We all found the accommodation and facilities excellent and very comfortable. The shops and the beach were just minutes away, with bigger supermarkets around a 10 minute drive to Coleraine. We would highly recommend this property and will definitely be visiting again for at least a week, next year.
Thank you for such a kind and comprehensive review. Castlerock is such a Beautiful place and if the children are happy then so will be the adults. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and will be happy to welcome you and your family at our home any time. We’d love to see a few Pics of the Raft race if you have any.
Millie & wee Thomas.
Northwest family holiday
We had a great time staying at the house, it really is a home away from home, catered well for kids, really spacious and bright, beach is just down the road, we were over for the northwest 200 and it’s not a long drive to Portstewart where it was getting held or to coleraine, would deffo recommend
Thank you for your lovely review and we hope to see you again sometime in the future. Blue Doors Castlerock is a welcome get away for our family and holds many little memories for us and we now hope the same for you and your family. The Photos on Facebook where lovely and I hope you don't mind if we save a few. It may be a small village but it and the North coast have a lot to offer. Thanks.

Ty Millie for your holidayhouse. It was a amzing place with many things to discover for our kids. It was a perfect place to explore the north of both irelands. This place make u homecoming. You can feel thats this house is a family house. You see it in all corners that friends and familie of Millie use this house also for his holidays. Pokemon bedclothes for the kids (big eyes by my son), scooter for the garden, kidsgates on the stair and so on and on. The beach in shortly distance, many attraction and sightseeing objects in 1h car range. It was perfect. Next time we will stay more than 4 days.
Thank you Anne for such a lovely review, and thank you for leaving the House in such a tidy state. We are glad you enjoyed the home as much as all of our family do, in particular the children. Please get in touch when you next feel like a break and hopefully we can help make your stay as good if not better than before.
Northern Ireland Railways currently run a mostly bi-hourly service in both directions (west to Londonderry Waterside or east to Coleraine and onward to Belfast Central and Belfast Great Victoria Street) on weekdays, with reduced service on Saturdays, and only five trains each way on Sunday. Ulsterbus services tend to coincide roughly with the times of the railway service and proceed either west towards Limavady or east to Coleraine.
