IMPORTANT NOTE: STRICTLY 8 ADULTS MAXIMUM - this is to rule out bookings from large non-family groups (folks coming to the area to party!). I have had to remove guests in the past, police involved, etc and have measures in place to prevent this occurring again so please do not try to book unless you are the right type of guest.
However we do encourage slightly larger family groups to be accommodated, if required two children could sleep on the corner sofa / an air/camp bed can be provided to sleep in up to a maximum of 10 persons in total but the maximum number of adults allowed in the house is strictly 8. This is a house rule. A travel cot can also be provided on request. Please contact me with your requirements.

This property is my childrens and my home when we are in South Shields and so meets my very high standards. Set over two floors (first and second) with 4 large bedrooms (ensuite to main, 2 kings, 1 double and bunks), large family bathroom, kitchen/diner and separate lounge, this property offers magnificent spacious living space for families or groups of friends to enjoy and entertain family and friends, etc and offers great uninterrupted and unoverlooked views at the front over the beautiful South Shields Cricket and Westoe Rugby Club Stadium.
Main renovations including opening up very large brand new kitchen/diner, multi fuel stove in lounge with built in window seat, high spec flooring throughout 1st floor, brand new spacious designer bathroom with freestanding bath and brand new designer ensuite and high spec new oak internal doors throughout) were completed in the last year since purchase.
Bedrooms are as follows:
Main (2nd floor): King size bed - Sleeps 2
Bed 2 (2nd floor): King size bed - Sleeps 2
Bed 3 (2nd floor): Double bed - Sleeps 2
Bed 4 (1st floor): Bunk beds - Sleeps 2
Additional: If required z-/air beds can be provided for 2-3 more persons to sleep in the living areas up to a maximum of 10-11 persons in total. A travel cot can also be provided on request.
To help appreciate the relatively large size of most rooms approximate dimensions are provided in the description below.
Secure brand new composite front door leads to porch with space for boots, outdoor clothing etc. Internal door leads to stairs to first floor landing.
From the kitchen the back stairs leads to the back yard, via a brand new 5 point secure door, where a chimnea (which can also be used for cooking on the grill), table/parasol and 4 chairs are provided for your use; ideal for BBQs and outdoor dining in the warmer months.
Lounge (5.5m X 4m X 3m high) - to left from first floor landing top of stairs
Comfortable and spacious; with large original box bay window and beautiful built in window seat, great for watching the lovely views over the cricket and rugby matches. With wood effect Karndean flooring a newly opened up feature brick chimney breast with new multifuel stove creates a beautiful focal point. Please help yourself to our stock of seasoned hard and soft wood logs during your stay. A large Italian white leather sofa and a comfy arm chair and coffee table.
Kitchen/dining room/living area (8m X 4m X 3m high) - straight on from first floor landing top of stairs.
This has has recently been opened up with wood effect Karndean flooring laid to form a great spacious open plan kitchen dining and living space with hob inset into brick chimney breast which has been revealed to form a lovely focal point. This is a great communal and interactive area for socialising, dining and entertaining. Since we moved the TV there when I stay here visiting family with my children we tend to spend most of our time in this room. There is a large solid oak dining table with 2 benches either side which seats 8 persons and a seat can be put at either ends of the table to take seating to 10 persons. Butchers block provides extra space for food prep. There is also two bar stools to use at the butchers block if required.
A comfortable large new large brown leather three seated sofa and separate single seater with 52" Sony TV, Xbox360 and DVD. Please help yourself to our Xbox360 games, books and board games during your stay and ideal for keeping kids entertained when relaxing inside the property.
Brand new kitchen has fully integrated full size 50:50 fridge freezer, full size dishwasher (tablets provided), induction hob, oven and microwave. Well stocked with good range of pots, pans, slow cooker, juicer, cutlery, cleaning equipment etc. Please help yourself to our range of spices, oils, etc for cooking during your stay. Also please help yourself to the range of take away menus provided (especially the menus from the world renowned Indian restaurants/take aways which line Ocean Road!!).
Washing machine installed down the back stairs from the kitchen (on the ground floor utilities area) near the back yard door to ensure no unwanted noise from the washing machine spoils the ambience of this living space. Detergent is provided for you to use during your stay.
Bedroom 4 - Smallest of the bedrooms with bunk beds
Note: large window on first floor landing at the front of the property is the fire escape window.
Master Bedroom (5m X 3m X 2.5m high) - first door to left with large original box bay window and sweeping views over the cricket and rugby club ground. King size bed. Solid wood large chest, of drawers, storage chest (with spare blankets, towels and bedding) and wardrobe. 2000w hair drier provided.
Ensuite (1m X 2.2m X 2.5m high) - from the master bedroom.
New designer suite installed. With mains powered shower in enclosure, inline extractor fan, wall hung wc and wash hand basin.
Main Bathroom (4m X 3m X 2.5m high) - second door from right
Very spacious family bathroom with newly installed separate open walk in shower, large freestanding bath to relax in, designer column and towel radiator, wall hung wc and wash hand basin. Please feel free to use the candles provided to create a nice atmosphere to relax and bathe with. Attractive tiling with subtle LED mood lighting along acessories elevation and bath/shower recesses where toiletries can be laid.
Bedroom 2 (4m X 3.5m X 2.5m high) - third door from left
King size bed. Solid wood wardrobe.
Bedroom 3 - (5m X 2.5m X 2.5m high) door from right
Double bed and mirrored sliding wardrobe. Iron and ironing board provided in wardrobe.
There is ample on street parking right in front of the house.

They are all somewhere I would want to stay with my children. Being well travelled for business and pleasure myself both with and without my children I know what it takes to make a place homely for both adults and kids alike and that is my aim for all of our properties, to create a home away from home for all. After being a traditional landlord since 2004 with our Aberdeen apartment I began welcoming short term guests in August 2016 to better fit my lifestyle and now managing my properties is my sole source of income and I have developed a real passion for it. I stay at our properties regularly so I am able to keep a close eye on them and ensure they have an impeccable standard of maintenance, furnishing and decor as well as cleanliness. I also know the area really well so am keen to help any guests with queries they have about the local area and find all the best spots for the purpose of their visit. I pride myself on being helpful and friendly and it is nice to hear this is how guests have found me in the reviews for all of our properties. Bright, airy, modern and spacious 4 bed holiday accommodation in Westoe, South Shields with panoramic views over the Rugby and Cricket Club. 5 mins walk to the college and Chichester metro and 20min walk to beach, makes this a great base for North East breaks. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 kings (one is ensuite), a double and one with bunks. There is a large kitchen/diner (table seats 8-10)/living room and separate large lounge with multiple stove. Excellent accommodation for all the family
Beautifully presented property in a quiet residential area. Great living accommodation for our group of two families with children. We really appreciated all the homely touches and extra bits and pieces for the kids. Kitchen was great for cooking and the family bathroom was gorgeous. Thank you.

After 2 years hard work fully renovating it since buying it and living there myself and seeing the vision being enjoyed by our guests is a real pleasure! Its great that the huge kitchen/dining area is getting enjoyed by lovely relatively large groups of friends and families like your sister and your families. My friend fully redesigned and supplied the designer family bathroom (and ensuite) and its great our guests are enjoying this great space! And it's lovely to hear that the homely touches are appreciated my grown ups and books, games and craft things are getting appreciated by our littler visitors :) The new beds are great and so pleased the extra investment is worth it for a great nights sleep! This is a very modern and cosy home. It has everything you will ever needed including the best bathroom EVER!
We are so pleased that you loved our bathroom!! I agree it is the best one EVER !! You are not the first guest to have said so. It was designed by my friend who has his own bathroom company and incorporates the feature wall, with recesses to place bathing products on, with the large standalone bath to the front and the walk in shower to the back. The two designer radiators ensure it is really warm and cosy and finishing it off is the floating wash hand basin with loads of storage in the soft close drawer beneath and w/c with soft close seat of course! All set off with luxury tile floors and part walls and subtle LED mood lighting to ensure our guests have the most relaxing bathing experience possible.
After all of the time and money we invested in the bathroom it was hard to leave the place after we completed renovations (my daughter who loved soaking in there after a long day at the beach in the summer was especially devastated!) but it's great that all of our lovely guests can enjoy the room for years to come!
I am delighted that you found our home cosy (especially since your stay coincided with the worst weather that we've seen in the north east in several years with the Siberian "Beast form the East!") and of course modern, as it should be after it was fully renovated in 2017. Including brand new high spec kitchen, bluetooth speaker to play your own music, new designer kitchen with lovely appliances, two wall mounted TVs in both living areas, etc!

Situated centrally in the Westoe area of South Shields but in a really quiet street. Uninterrupted and unoverlooked views at the front over the beautiful South Shields Cricket and Westoe Rugby Club Stadium. The apartment is close enough (less than five minutes walk for me) to Chichester metro station for a busier night in South Shields or Newcastle city centre or there are nice restaurants (e.g. Lasun Indian restaurant) and bars (Nine Bar, Hedworth Hall, The County etc) within 2-3 minutes walk. There are ample amenities nearby, a great little corner shop open till late, mini supermarket, and a pharmacy on Dean Road; 2-3 mins walk and Aldi just little further. Bus to Sunderland also from the Dean Road.
