Dulverton is considered the Southern gateway to Exmoor and sits in the steeply wooded valley of the River Barle. Whilst Exmoor is only 10 minutes drive away, it is possible to start many walks form the front door of the Old Chapel making it unnecessary to use a car once you have arrived.
There are many things to do and see on Exmoor and along the North Devon and Somerset coast. An excellent source of information is the Exmoor visitors centre which is located in the centre of Dulverton where maps, guides and other useful leaflets can be found.
