About the property

This beautifully renovated former Pilchard Loft is situated in a quiet courtyard with cafe and crafts, literally just off the famous cobbled streets of St Ives. A stones' throw from the harbour and beaches, it is a real gem in the heart of St Ives.

Incredibly light, airy and funky, this quirky one bed loft apartment really is truly unique. It has been decorated with a fun light retro feel but with the natural wood flooring and exposed beams and roof trusses allowing it to keep all the charm and character of the historic property that it is.

The incredible retro style, use of colours and great blend of old and new features make it probably the most funky pad you will find in St Ives!

Colourful chandeliers adorn the wonderful vaulted ceiling with old beams painted in a fresh vibrant colour allowing a feel of open' loft living' .

The entrance is located on Cyril Noall Square, off Fore Stree.t Bill's Loft is named after the local pilchard presser that worked here almost a century ago.

Stairs leading up to the open plan kitchen/diner/sitting room.

Stunning kitchen with a retro feel looks out above the pebbled courtyard below. It is superbly fitted with everything you could need. The kitchen is beautifully presented with Emma Bridgewater tiles, a Smeg washing machine, dryer and dishwasher. In addition to the retro bel-air dining table there is a large island with pull up sockets, bar stools.

This open plan loft area boasts many windows and skylights allowing the light to stream in, there is a real feel of light, space and importantly privacy.

The sitting room area has a 52" TV with dvd payer, a pink smeg gas fire and a retro sofa (sleeping two) and the piece de resistance, a cool juke box ready loaded with tunes to take you back in time.

The perfect place for cocktails and dreams!!!!!

The gorgeous bedroom is off the living area and feels incredibly cosy with old stone walls and maintaining the open beam with high glass windows. there is a king size bed and built in wardrobe/cupboard space.

A door from the bedroom leads into the quirky en suite bathroom with power shower and bath.

This is a truly wonderful location and a fabulous apartment.

About Sarah and Victoria

My sister and I bought this property in 2011, we are originally from Cadgwith, a small fishing village on the Lizard peninsular. After studying at Art school (and my sister, Law in Sussex) we temped in Reading for a short while before meeting old friends from Cornwall. To cut a long story short the five of us formed the West Cornwall Pasty Company, 11 years later we sold our company of 50 shops across the country, left London, and returned to our homeland of Cornwall, this time choosing St Ives that we had come to know well after buying our first property here over 18 years ago. St Ives was close enough to Cadgwith but its a town that was able to offer much more for us to settle and raise our families here. Its a beautiful part of the world and we are very proud to own some stunning properties with real history. My husband works as a surf instructor on Porthmeor, the famous surf beach just yards from this property.

Why Sarah and Victoria chose Saint Ives

We fell in love with this property on first viewing, despite it being nothing more that an old loft space which we had to climb up a rickety old ladder to look at. It had a really great feel even then and we could see right away what a beautiful living space it could create. We enjoyed this renovation project and are confident you will enjoy staying here. This property has been a hugely successful holiday let for over 6 years with a hugely successful letting agency owned by our brother's partner. My sister and I have decided to manage the property ourselves now that our children have grown enough to all be at school!

What makes this apartment unique

Fantastic location in a quiet courtyard just off the hustle and bustle of Fore Street.

Lovely few days in this warm, funky flat. Central for all local amenities. Quiet in February. Loved the Jukebox, great for 2 of us. Would definitely book again.
