Within easy reach of Scarborough, Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay or Hornsea, an hour by car to Hull - 2017 City of Culture - or to the ever popular tourist destination of York, this is a fabulous base from which to explore the local area. The beautiful market town of Beverley is also worth a visit. With 3 stately homes less than 20 minutes away - Sledmere House, Burton Agnes Hall and Sewerby Hall, and also the fabulous Bridlington Spa theatre - there's plenty of cultural pursuits if you'd prefer. Looking for something more active? Try the leisure centre in Bridlington for swimming, climbing or gym, or venture further to the brand new indoor water park Alpamare, or the outdoor Total Wipeout style park, both at Scarborough, or maybe Let Loose activity centre at Beverley. Bird Watching at the fabulous RSPB sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs is a must in Spring when puffins are nesting. If retail therapy is your game Hornsea boasts the first outlet centre built in the UK, and there's also an outlet on the outskirts of York. Scarborough has a large pedestrianised shopping area and the newly refurbished market vaults are worth a visit if you're looking for something more unusual. For family fun try Bridlington Birds of prey and Animal centre, where you can book animal interactions or make your own rock at John Bull World of Rock, and don't forget to visit the traditional seaside pursuits of amusement arcades and funfairs at the seafront, or take a cruise on the fabulous Yorkshire Belle from Bridlington harbour. However you wish to spend your time this is an ideal location to spend your holiday.

“Perfect country retreat”

This lovely modern cottage is just outside of Bridlington with farm land around you. Although there is a main road nearby there is no disturbance it's lovely to relax in the garden overlooking fields. Fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine. It was lovely that each bedroom had its own bathroom.

Why Andrew & Anabel chose Bridlington

Our family has always enjoyed the beautiful East coast, and this property allows us the perfect base to travel up and down the coast to see the sights of Scarborough, Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, or Hornsea whilst maintaining the tranquility of a quiet countryside location. Only 10 minutes from Bridlington by car, it's always fun to spend the day in this traditional English seaside town with its fantastic sandy beaches. With 3 stately homes less than 20 minutes away - Sledmere House, Burton Agnes Hall and Sewerby Hall - there's plenty of cultural pursuits if you'd prefer. An hour by car to Hull - 2017 City of Culture - or to the ever popular tourist destination of York. This is an ideal location however you wish to spend your time.
