Recently renovated to a high standard Porth Nanven House is a stunning property located at the end of a rural lane in the beautiful and magical Cot Valley, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Cot Valley is located in the far west of Cornwall between Cape Cornwall and Lands End, the valley stretches down to the sea, nearby is St Just with a selection of useful independent shops and good pubs. The historic coastal harbour of Penzance is 15 minutes away with a range of larger shops and supermarkets.

Porth Nanven House is a beautiful and spacious family home, it has recently been refurbished and completely redecorated. The property is packed with character features, beautiful furnishings, stunning views and is a real home from home.

A small courtyard leads to the main entrance of Porth Nanven House with a stable door leading directly into the kitchen. The traditional hand-made kitchen is well equipped with high quality kitchen equipment and plenty of storage space, there is an oil fired range cooker, very similar to an Aga with two ovens and two hob plates dishwasher, Belfast sink, integrated fridge and further large fridge / freezer and separate island unit with window seat behind. A short hallway leads down to a light and airy dining area, with patio door. There is a very large sitting room with wood burner, sumptuous sofas comfortably seating six people, flat screen TV and DVD player and large round table. At the back of the sitting room is a downstairs shower room with basin, WC and utility area with washing machine and tumble drier. Access to the private garden is through a patio door from the kitchen and dining room.

On the first floor are three good sized bedrooms. At the front of the house is a dual aspect double bedroom with small bathroom with WC and basin. There is a twin bedroom which can be presented as a double if required. At the end of the property is a beautiful family bathroom with large shower enclosure, roll top freestanding bath, WC and basin. There is one further bedroom, accessed through a study room with stunning sea views, the bedroom has a super king sized bed and dual aspect windows, those at the back look over the garden and out to sea.

There is a large, terraced garden which is mostly laid to lawn. Large garden table with two benches and a BBQ so you can enjoy a glass of wine whilst you watch the sunset!

Porth Nanven Cove which is sandy at low tide is easily walkable from the House, facing directly West the House benefits from the most incredible sunsets. From the House you can walk East to the incredible Gwenver and Sennen Beaches and west to Cape Cornwall and along the start of the North Coast towards St Ives.

A relaxing week

The house is set in a tranquil location with great views towards the sea and this meant we saw some wonderful sunsets. It's a lovely house and very comfortable and relaxing. Sennen is nearby which is great for surfing our to simply enjoy a beautiful Cornish beach.

Brilliant house in a unique location!

Port Nanven really is a special place - we've been there twice as a family and are planning a return in 2018!

Reached via what feels like a secret roadway (don't expect your online shopping to be delivered!) the house feels special from the moment you arrive. Our boys love the tiered garden - great for jumping, running and generally being outside. And, if you stay outside the beach is only 5 minutes walk away, with crashing waves and smooth, sea formed boulders. If you're adventurous, you can walk one way to Cape Cornwall, or the other all the way to Sennen Cove and beyond along the cliffs.

Inside, the house is stylish and spacious and the kitchen incredibly well equipped. The range keeps the kitchen side of the house warm and the log burning stove looks after the rest.

Wonderful Holidays

Fabulous house, great location!

We had a great week at Porth Nanven House. It suited our party of 3 adults perfectly. The house has 3 good-sized bedrooms and plenty of space to spread ourselves. The garden is the icing on the cake with views of the valley and the cove below to die for. Access to the coastal path is from the door and it is a short walk (uphill) to shops at St Just and so we did not need to use the car except for longer sight-seeing trips. The walk to Sennen Cove was lovely and the bus back to St Just was great.

The sitting room could do with a new sofa and the breakfast room some soft furnishing. Too much equipment in the kitchen!

Overall a fantastic place to stay.

Glorious views from a stunning house!

We stayed for 1 week in August. The house was beautiful - everything about it was just perfect from the comfy sofas and beds to the kitchen equipment. The bedrooms were perfect for our family; teenager in the double bed with en-suite and two younger ones in the twin room with a very separate 'wing' for us. Walks from the house are fantastic and the house is easy to find although beware of the unmade road to the house - it's hard to believe there is anything at the end of it!! The garden is improved since the picture was taken and is now 'levelled' off into 3 tiered lawns - it's beautiful.

SIMPLY STUNNING

Stayed at porth nanven house first week July! Booked late Wednesday evening arrived Saturday teatime and was not disappointed !! It's a really beautiful house full of lovely things spotlessly clean high quality Bedlinen and towels, extremely comfy beds and sofas etc. In the most amazing valley with lovely views . The coastal path is right outside the house so didn't move the car most days ! A short walk into St Just to the very friendly shops and pubs who welcome our four legged friends with open arms ! The welcome hamper was also verymuch appreciated !! Didn't want to leave its just so pretty we wouldn't hesitate to stay again or advice people to just book it . The nicest place we've ever stayed in the uk .
