La Siroque, set behind its gated entrance, has all the benefits of a modern property but built in the traditional perigourdin style. You will have exclusive use of the house, heated swimming pool and almost two acres of grounds.
The entrance hallway leads into the spacious salon with feature fireplace. The dining table comfortably seats eight as does the lounge area. The flat screen television offers English and French channels. There are also DVD and CD players and a Bose Ipod dock. WiFi connection is included .
Double doors lead to the spacious Mobalpa fitted kitchen which includes a De Dietrich range cooker, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave and nespresso machine. A separate utility room offers a washing machine, tumble dryer and additional sink. There is also a cloakroom off the hallway.
On the ground floor there are two ensuite bedrooms, one with two double beds plus separate dressing room and the other with a king size bed plus built in wardrobe. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and the other with a super king size bed which can be configured as two singles.
They share a family bathroom which has a separate walk in shower. A third room is used as a TV lounge.
The salon and spacious bedrooms all have remote control ceiling fans and the bedroom windows have fly screens.
Outside, the heated pool has an electrically operated security shutter.
Child cot, beds and high chairs are provided on request.

About Wendy Palmer
For part of each year, we live in the beautiful Lot et Garonne/Dordogne border area of France . The summer season of 2018 is the first time our luxurious house has been offered on the rental market.

Why Wendy Palmer chose Saint-Étienne-de-Villeréal
We have the style of property we've always dreamed of but with the modern plumbing and electrics we have sometimes found lacking in older properties. Although in a quiet location, it is only a short stroll into Villeréal with it's bars, restaurants and shops. There is also a well stocked supermarket and petrol station on the outskirts of the town. Villeréal is surrounded by the other historic bastide towns of Monpazier, Monflanquin and Issigeac.
What makes this House unique
We adore the open, sunny aspect of our house where we enjoy both sunrise and sunset from the terraces. The local (English owned) management company, Papillon Bleu, will ensure the house and pool are cleaned weekly and that linen and towels are changed. They will meet and greet you to explain how things work and will be available during your stay should you need them . A welcome pack will also be provided.

There is a swimming lake situated in Lougratte which is a ten minute drive away. It has a beach and offers canoeing, water slide, playground and restaurant. All the local towns have markets and the one in Villeréal is every Saturday . On Monday evenings, Villeréal hosts a night market where local producers offer a dazzling array of food and drinks to enjoy in the square or take away. Throughout the summer there is a programme of pony and trap evening races at the local hippodrome. A wander around the cobbled streets of Bergerac old town is highly recommended and only 30 minutes by car. Horse riding and cycle rental can be arranged locally. The fortified Chateau Biron and restored castle at Gavaudun (both with breath taking views) are a short drive away. Further afield there various activities such as canoeing on the river Dordogne or visiting caves.
