About the property

A spacious 4/5 bedroom chalet with 3 bathrooms and superb mountain views.

La Pommière is situated in the hamlet of Villars Heyssier close to Beauvezer. Surrounded by 4000m2 of delightful gardens it offers fantastic views over the mountains. An ideal year round holiday destination this property offers skiing in the winter at the nearby stations of the Val d'Allos but also superb walking, cycling and other activity holidays in the summer. Beautifully positioned this south-facing chalet enjoys sunshine all day long, even during winter's shortest days.

The chalet has four bedrooms over two floors. GROUND FLOOR: a spacious living-dining room with large L-shaped sofa and table to seat 12; fully equipped kitchen (fridge freezer, dishwasher, induction hob and electric oven); bathroom with separate wc and two double bedrooms (one sleeping three in a large double and a single bed and the other sleeping four in a large double and full-size bunk beds). FIRST FLOOR: a further two double bedrooms (one twin and the other with large double and single bed and an ensuite wc and wash handbasin). The large landing sleeps one in a single bed. There is also a second family bathroom with wc. BASEMENT: a further wc and utility / drying room with washing machine and very effective heating system ensuring that winter washing and ski wear will dry quickly.

There is a very effective oil-fired central heating system ensuring a warm chalet to return to after a day on the slopes and plenty of hot water. A lovely log burning fire with wood supplied offers cosy winter evenings.

The chalet is situated on a number of good walks ensuring that guests can walk or cycle from the gateway.

The extensive grounds are mostly set to grass meaning that it is a wonderful place for children to play. The property is fully fenced with an electrically operated gate. The local town hall ensures that the road to the chalet is cleared of snow whenever there are occupants in place and we provide a snow blower so that snow can be easily removed on site.

The huge covered terrace offers the opportunity for outside dining in winter or summer.

Although I am listed on HomeAway as a Property Manager, this is our own chalet purchased in October 2017.

Perfect chalet for a family skiing holiday

This was my family’s first time skiing in Val d’allos. Not only an amazing family resort, but a lovely chalet to come home to. The chalet is in a great location, close enough to the slopes, yet quiet enough for a relaxing family retreat. The house is well maintained and has modern decor. Plenty of room for everybody, especially my big family of 10! Owner extremely communicative and informative. Definitely looking to book again in coming years.

Most comfortable chalet we have ever stayed in.

We have been skiing in this region for many years and have stayed in multiple chalets. This is the most comfortable, warm and picturesque we've ever rented.

The rooms are spacious; The beds are lovely; The chalet is clean; The dinning room easily allows 14 to be entertained and fed.

The village is quaint and interesting. It is not 'on piste', however that is exactly what we wanted (we cannot stand the noise of those piste resorts). If you want nightclubs and noise choose somewhere else. If you want a very large, comfortable extended family home to enjoy the region and the skiing, this is the chalet for you.
