Becky and myself have lived in Lymington for seven years and couldn't imagine living anywhere else now. Becky is a part time veterinary surgeon and a part time secondary school science teacher. Richard has his own local property business, and is a volunteer on the Lymington Lifeboat Crew. We have three daughters, a black lab and a crazy cat.
Richard purchased this House in 2017
Why Richard chose Walhampton
A recently modernised and refurbished cottage in the coastal town of Lymington in easy reach of a wealth of activities. Comprises two double bedrooms, one king size bed and the other with a double. It is a self contained cottage enjoying a superb location. The Haven marina is a few minutes walk and from there the sea wall meanders around the salt marshes with great views of the Isle of Wight and Keyhaven fort. The old market town of Lymington, with its lovely High Street and cobbled street leading down to the Town Quay are also within easy walking distance. Further afield, a short drive takes you into the New Forest. Heathland and forest walks abound and ponies, cattle and donkeys roam free so take your time and explore the delights at your leisure.
What makes this House unique
Fantastic location. Just a few minutes walk to the sea or to the High Street with a great selection of shops, restaurants and coffee shops. The ferry to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight leaves regularly from the other side of the river and is easily reached on foot, by bike, by car or by train from Lymington station. The cottage has a cosy atmosphere, with a log burner for the winter evenings. On warmer days there is a small courtyard garden and a terrace leading off the 2nd bedroom.

Small but beautifully formed.
The cottage is really well presented and pretty much stocked with everything you could need. We found it perfectly-sized for the two of us. It’s a great base for exploring the New Forest National Park and the coast. Richard was a pleasure to deal with and very helpful throughout the booking process. Highly recommended!
A lovely and warm cottage! :-)
My wife and I loved our stay at this great cottage. We had everything we needed and the property was in very good condition. We would definitely stay there again if in the area....
Lovely cosy cottage, modern facilities, quiet location close to town and sea.
We picked this little gem as it was perfect for the 2 night break we had planned. We had great communication with the owner, Richard and although we didn’t meet him we were assured he and his wife would be there if we needed anything. The cottage is well equipped, very clean and tidy. The the beds very comfortable and the walk in shower was nice and hot. We found bread tea/coffee/milk and sugar and biscuits waiting for us which was a greatly appreciated after a long drive.
Would like to return in the winter to make use of the log burner. Thank you.

Fantastic cosy cottage in great location . Very comfy beds and great to have large towels !
Great location between the marina and town.
Lovely cottage, well equipped and situated in a quiet location
Excellent walks from the door step and within the local area
Clean and well equipped with quality furnishings
Plenty of room for just two of us, but would be fine for four as well. Best log burner I have used: easy to light with good draught. Plenty of light coming in. Not a fan of spot lighting, but won't be a problem for most. A clock in the lounge would be useful. Stairs are quite steep, so may not be suitable for the elderly, especially with the bathroom downstairs. The bed was very comfortable. Smoke detector in the kitchen made its presence felt several times. Hot water was on tap fast and the shower was very controllable. Very quiet neighbours and outside at night. A flat, pleasant 10-minute walk to the shops, and 10-minute walk to the coast path to Keyhaven in the other direction. We had a very enjoyable time, thoroughly recommended.
