The villa has a covered pavilion to sit out of the wind or sun. On the side their own boules court, sunbeds by the pool, a very large exotic garden and a private driveway. The house is well protected by a permanent connection to the emergency services (automatic alarm system).
The house has a very light and warm atmosphere, thanks to the two sliding doors in the corners of the living room. If you put them both open, the living room is literally an extension of the garden. The garden is completely enclosed and surrounded by fences and shrubs, so you still enjoy privacy. You can find out even luxury furniture for 6 people and you may use the BBQ. Linger is pure pleasure with music from the living room, the cozy garden lights and rolling lights of the beach in the distance.
In the house there is a large flat screen in the living room with reception of both Spanish and Dutch channels and DVD and CD player. Spacious living room with fireplace and large open kitchen with breakfast bar. The kitchen is luxurious; fridge-freezer, microwave and oven, dishwasher, hood and various kitchen appliances. You can use free WiFi. Of course, the whole house is air conditioned, and if you come in the winter, of course heating.
In all the surrounding villages to visit various markets daily. Furthermore, there is a market every Sunday in Terreros; you can walk there in 5 minutes away. From San Juan De Los Terreros are interesting villages and towns such as Mojacar, Garrucha, Lorca, Murcia, Cartagena, Aguilas and Tabernas be reached within 45 minutes. You'll find them all back in the Lonely Planet; each one worth to visit and see.
Fabulous location in a corner plot with no other properties overlooking it. Easy 5-10 minute walking distance to the restaurants in town and the beach (though be warned it is across derelict scrub-land, so it isn't exactly picturesque!). Also with plenty of free parking at the beach, and the amount of 'stuff' we take, we actually preferred to drive anyway.
The villa is spacious and in relatively large gardens, though it has to be said that it is showing its age and would benefit from some TLC: a number of tiles in and around the pool/patio are broken/lifting (in one spot a piece of wood has been placed over a hole in the ground), the picnic bench is unusable, in-pool lights were broken, etc. etc.. Nothing to spoil a holiday, but overall a little 'shabby' - the property was up for sale when we went, which might explain the condition.
The agent/maintenance chap Don was very helpful and visited a few times to fix an air conditioning unit.
The master bed was wonderfully comfortable, and it's nice being a little removed from the other bedrooms downstairs.
British visitors should be aware that the TV channels are all dutch, and the TV doesn't have any HDMI inputs (we dragged the kids' playstation all that way to find we couldn't use it - but maybe that's not such a bad thing!)
Do not be deceived by the pictures, the garden is not looked after, and villa very tired. Big hole at end of pool with pipes leaking, still leaking 2 days later when we looked, and not at all helpful, so had to find another villa which was half the price and twice as good. Definitely not recommended.
Don bedankt voor de goede zorgen en uitleg. Zeer prettig huis met alles wat je nodig hebt, echter 1 probleem wij hadden helaas maar 1 week. Maar komen zeker nog eens terug. Goed geregeld allemaal.
We zijn super ontvangen door don v Schie, aardige en kundige man. Het heeft ons aan niets ontbroken, ja eigenlijk wel het had langer mogen duren maar we moesten na 1 week weer aan het werk. Een echte aanrader en dicht bij het strand en restaurantjes. Don ga zo door. Gr fam.mouws
Me and my partner had a great stay at the Bianchi villa. I talked to the owners about Mr. Sibleys review, I wanted to know what was going on before I booked. Turns out there were some pipes leaking near the pool, which were fixed the very same day. I can imagine that that would not be the greatest way to start a holiday, but the owners and Don did everything they could to fix this as soon as possible. When we arrived, there were no signs of construction work or anything. The garden looked fresh and clean, as if nothing ever happened. And the villa itself has all the comforts of home and more.
Within an hours drive you will find several cute towns and villages, even Granada is only two and a half hours away. Only inconvenience is that is a bit of a guess which stores and restaurants are open off season. Always an adventure ;)
Villa is van alle gemakken voorzien en gezellig ingericht. Fijne tuin en heerlijk privézwembad. Strand en dorp op loopafstand. Kleine knusse urbanisatie. Wij hebben het er erg naar onze zin gehad met onze drie (grote)kinderen. S 'avonds bbq-en en tot laat buiten zitten of wandelen naar het dorp waar er veel verschillende restaurantjes te vinden zijn. Genoeg te zien in de omgeving van strandjes tot dorpjes in de bergen waarna het weer heerlijk rustig terugkomen is in de villa! Aanrader!
San Juan de Los Terreros; a friendly and charming Spanish seaside village with the most beautiful and cleanest beaches in Andalusia. Spaniards from across the country celebrate their holidays in this region! The village lies in a bay with beautiful green / blue water and an attractive temperature. The region has 322 days of sunshine per year and therefore a very pleasant climate. At just over 30 minutes are Mojacar and Garrucha; 2 Moorish towns with many seafood restaurants, beach clubs and leisure facilities. On the way to these towns you get several nice places like Vera against a large water park (Aqua Park) and beautiful golf courses. Golf range is extensive with a wild mountain railway in Turre; Marina Golf at sea at Mojacar and not to forget the best job in Spain: Desert Springs, reconstructed to the American / Mexican model with fairways as beautiful as the green is normal! On the way to Mojacar is Vaille de L'Este, a very nice job in the Valley of Vera. In Jaravia, 5 minutes from the house, a very big job with many natural obstacles and view of the village and the sea.
Skiing during the winter months until May possibly in the Sierra Nevada near Granada, where a visit to the Alhambra is the potential to see one of the seven wonders of the world. You can drive to Granada in the morning; about 3 hours.
Several restaurants Terreros make nightlife cheerful and cozy! In this village you come at all ages, you can enjoy the silence, but you can certainly find some action.
