Charming Victorian Home with private 1 bedroom apartment. Located on Quiet Stree

My husband and I and our pup stayed with Annmarie for a weekend while we were in the area for a bike race. The apartment was exactly as described. It was clean and had everything we needed. We appreciated that the bed was comfortable, and the bedroom was dark and quiet. We had fun playing pool and had lots of room to spread out. We didn't have time to try out the hot tub, but it looked nice. Off-street parking available and plenty of safe on-street parking, too. It was really nice to be able to keep our bikes in her garage. I would stay here again.

My wife and I drove into Chicago for a four night stay in June 2018. We've been to Chicago many times, but came to visit our son and his wife who live just off the Blue Line Addison stop, so this basement apartment seemed well placed for parking the car and using the CTA transportation for our stay. It is perfect for this, as there are several great neighborhoods to visit on the Blue Line between the Harlem stop and the loop, and it is only about a three block walk to the station. 3 day passes are very reasonable too. Getting in was a bit of an adventure as I was unfamiliar with the highway system. Thank goodness for GPS! It would be very convenient to O'Hare if flying in, as it's only four stops on the blue line from the airport.

The apartment was easy to access. It is a basement apartment , very well sealed as, though close to OHare, the planes could not be heard. The amenities were good, though a coffee maker would certainly be a plus. There was instant and a hot water pot. Everything is quite clean, though some work is still obviously in progress on finishing the large space. A very clear and big HDTV is in a great living room space. There's a full size pool table as well! The host, Jim, was very friendly and we enjoyed our four nights very much. Big thumbs up! Convenient, reasonable, and fun!

This is a basement apartment that is very obviously used as a family recreation area when not in use as a rental.

To gain entry to this space requires passage through an actual garage door,, then through a well used garage space and down a flight of concrete steps to arrive at this basement area.

I would have preferred for the surroundings to be tidier than they were. Also of note, we were able to hear quite a bit of the activity on the floor above us.

On a good note, this seems to be a lovely neighborhood, with beautiful homes. The owner (Jim) we met was extremely personable and very helpful with directions and dining suggestions.

We loved our stay here! I felt safe even walking the dogs after dark. Great apartment and there are several nice little restaurants in walking distance. It was too hot to use the hot tub this visit, but that's something to look forward to next visit!

This basement apartment was perfect. It was clean, looked like it was recently renovated, comfy furniture & bed, great shower! A easy 20 min. Uber or Lyft ride into the city. Or it's a beautiful walk looking at the gorgeous houses in this neighborhood to restaurants. We found a Buddhist vegan Korean spot that blew our minds. Staying here felt like you were staying with family. Easy & comforting.
