My wife and I have lived in Edinburgh for over 30 years now. We have 6 'twenty something' year old 'children' and have lived in our Town House in Northumberland Street for almost 9 years now. Most of the 'children' have now left home and so we decided to convert the Garden Flat into a completely self contained property suitable for holiday/business lets. It is stunning and is the sort of place that we would want to rent if we were visiting a capital city ourselves. We would like to think we have thought of most things which will help make your stay comfortable and special. We even have an available garaged car space nearby for an additional charge if you wish to take your car with you to allow you to explore further afield.

Why Scott Gibson chose New Town
The property is quite unique for the letting market in Edinburgh in that it also has it's own private and self contained gardens at both the front and the rear of the property, as well as a garaged car space nearby (for a small additional charge). This architect designed garden, which has also recently been redeveloped is accessed directly from the kitchen/dining/living areas via large glazed double doors onto a stone patio area. Outside tables and chairs as well as bench seating are provided for private guest use as is a gas BBQ (gas supplied). The garden is lit too so can be used in the evenings. While we do not condone nor encourage or even allow smoking in the property, smokers are welcome to use the front or back garden areas for smoking. We ask that guests refrain from using the garden after 11pm at night as sound travels and we do not want to disturb our neighbours

Open plan living/dining/kitchen area with stunning outlook onto a recently redeveloped contemporary garden, and all in the heart of the City within walking distance of all of edinburgh's unique attractions. 2 large bedrooms, one with a Hypnos SuperKing bed which can split into two twin beds, one with a Hypnos King bed plus a new JayBe put-me-up suitable for a child, and a cot. We also have an available garage space nearby which can be leased at an additional cost for the duration of your visit.

Incredible Stay in New Town for this family of 4
We have just returned from a 4-night stay in this incredible flat in Edinburgh's New Town neighborhood. This flat is even more beautiful than the pictures, and the lay-out is perfect for a family of 4 or two couples. We enjoyed having 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (with the beds able to be separated into 2 twins if requested), and the den/living room/kitchen was fabulous (all the supplies one needs to cook, plus an easy-to-use wood stove located in the fireplace (with wood and materials supplied), and amazing natural light coming in from the patio). Scott was a fabulous host, making sure we had everything we needed, and also helping us with any Edinburgh questions before our arrival, and making sure we were doing OK once we settled into the flat. We also utilized his parking spot in a covered garage during the weekdays (when it's harder to find on-street parking). The location of the flat is perfect for city walks to Old Town (mixture of flat and uphill walking that took us about 15 minutes to get to the Royal Mile). We hope to return to Edinburgh one day, and will definitely stay in this flat again; it served as an incredibly comfortable and well-positioned home base for our family to explore this wonderful city!

A wee gem in the heart of the capital..
This apartment was totally a home from home for us... Beautifully appointed, immaculately presented and with everything you could possibly need for a long or short stay. The garden at the back provided a lovely backdrop for the living space which is just stunning. Scott was an amazing host from start to finish and was so helpful... He also gave us a fab restaurant to visit... All in all, a wonderful stay.... I'd return in a heartbeat!
