Take a Deep Breath in Idyllic Sea House
My husband and I were lucky enough to spend a week in this idyllic cottage on the bay. Natasha, Sharon, and Shauna were a delight from the booking process, to answering questions, through turning in the keys and saying, “good-bye.”
The cottage felt welcoming from the moment we walked in. It is sparkling clean and well equipped, with great attention to detail. Flowers and scones were on the table when we arrived as well as some starter fridge items. We were warm and comfortable during a particularly chilly week, and having been in Ireland over a dozen times, we know from experience that this is not always the case.
The view is magnificent! It was hard to leave to even tour around. The sunrises, sunsets, seals on the rocks, oyster fisherman coming and going from work, all played out in front of us from the expansive window. Friends from Ramelton came for lunch and we couldn’t even get them into the living room where we had a lovely turf fire going — all they wanted to do was take in the view.
Would highly recommend Sea House and look forward to returning.
Warm cosy cottage with amazing views and great position overlooking the bay and oyster farm.
Beautiful cottage with amazing views.
We had a wonderful week in this cottage. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Furnished to the highest standards. Sparkling clean and so well equipped. We arrived late in the evening to be greeted with homemade scones, butter and jam. Our dog was in heaven with the lovely space for him to play in. It was a bonus having great WiFi as well as a washing machine and drier.Would not hesitate to recommend this wonderful cottage. We hope to return some day.
Wonderfully quaint and charming little cottage,Tastefully decorated and a pleasure to stay in for our week in The Rosses.Sharon greeted us with warm scones, which she had made herself .I spent most of my time in the cottage ,looking out of the huge window, watching seals ,and oyster farmers.Highly recommend.
the perfect respite during a busy trip
We spent 3 nights here in early May. We were mid-way through a fast-paced self guided tour of Ireland, and were ready for a bit of a break. This beautiful setting and comfortable home provided everything we were looking for and needed. The house is charmingly decorated and just a delight both inside and out. We only wish the weather had been a bit warmer so we could enjoy the deck and view the gorgeous sunsets from outside rather than inside. We were so pleased with the tea, coffee, milk and scones provided. We cooked in two nights and had most of the utensils needed. Would suggest providing salt and pepper, but we made do without. Our host Natasha was so accommodating to us when we forgot to have the cleaning fee on hand in cash when we checked out. We highly recommend this property.
Beautiful house and view!
We had a wonderful stay for my husband’s 50th Birthday weekend! It was a surprise where we were staying and he was really impressed by the Sea House. The view is beautiful and we enjoyed watching all the changing views with the weather. The house is spotless and so comfortable. We had everything we needed to cook and did cook quite a bit. The house is close to Dungloe and all that we needed. Overall it was a wonderful stay. We really relaxed and we hope to be back very soon.
