Our house, 2 blocks from the Central Park, has a large living room/dining room, a cozy library, and a fully equipped kitchen. All four bedrooms open into gardens. The washing machine, utilities (internet, cable, electricity, water, gas), gardener twice a week, and maid three times a week are included. The rooftop terrace has beautiful mountain views. The one-story house is tastefully decorated in colonial and Mayan styles. The bathrooms are newly remodeled. There is indoor secure parking, although one does not need a car unless you go on excursions out of town. The house is just steps away from great restaurants, shops, and delis.

Such a sweet spot!
We were in awe when we arrived and saw we had this beautiful, large place as our own for a week! So spacious and old-colonial with a fantastic veranda for sunny morning coffee, and lots of nooks and spaces to enjoy. It's like another world from the hectic streets of Antigua, and a very quick walk to the central square. Great location!
The owners rep Elma was gracious and helpful from the outset and spoke great English which was helpful upon arrival. And the staff that came during our week were very considerate and friendly. The owner was wonderful to work (great communication) with and helped us with a schedule issue-The beds were comfy, the house was clean, and the gardens tended. We wished the courtyard fountain had been running-hopefully just a short term issue- that would have been icing on the cake! Would definitely stay again!
I'm so happy that you liked your stay in our home, Darla. I'm sorry about the fountain. We rebuilt it two years ago, but I think temblors have cracked it again. We are going to give it another work-over this summer. Thanks!
Casa Chicap is a lovely home. It is very comfortably furnished with room for our family of seven. The location is ideal, within walking distance of the city center, and the bakery is just around the corner. The owner Bobbie, her house manager Elma, all staff and driver Sergio we're delightful people. They were responsive and very helpful. We will be back, thank you.

Like travelling back in time, or living in a museum, but with modern amenities! Great location and views! Simply, the best! A fireplace in every room to ward off the chill of mountain nights in what we from the USA would "winter" months.
Old property with some colonial charm in great location.
Great value and location.
1820 Colonial "mansion" with modern touches inside

Great location also!
Irma Schwarz the Property Manager was so informative. Doña Clara, the cleaning lady was also so friendly and efficient!

Charming, convenient, and affordable
Casa Chicap was our home for a wonderful three week stay in June. The home is clean, well decorated, and much larger than it appears in the photos. The gardens are decently cared for and the cleaning service (which I didn't think we would need) was a real gift (things get dirty quickly in homes with this open/courtyard style configuration). We still miss the calming fountain in the courtyard! The view from the garden and the rooftop is spectacular. The location of the home can not be beat; you count on one hand the minutes it takes to walk to Parque Central, El Arco, Dona Luisa's for banana bread each morning, and dozens of other local eateries and attractions. When the hot water went out one morning, Irma had a plan to fix it in no time. We were well taken care of by Irma and by the owner, Bobbie!. Finally, the home is perfect for a family as there are three large bedrooms (spaced apart for privacy) and easy to return to for peace and quiet after short excursions with kids. There is no way that you could find Casa Chicap's privacy and space at a local hotel -- especially for the price. We have already recommended it to friends in Guatemala and in the US. Don't think twice about it -- book Casa Chicap!
Thank you, Sean! We are so happy that you were happy. See you soon again, I hope!
Picturesque and charming colonial city with fascinating Mayan culture and international cuisine.
