We bought this property because of the location to the beach and also proximity to Portugal as well as Spain. We always wanted somewhere for all of our family to enjoy holidays. We have 3 children and now 2 grandchildren and we just love to all meet up there when we can. The views really do have to be seen to be believed. Traditional Spanish Town Ayamonte with wonderful fresh and local produce.

Perfect Home in wonderful sourrdings

This was the best holiday appartment we ever stayed in. It is well maintained. The jacuzzi and the outdoor kitchen are just fun. When we arrived we could not believe that this is true.

The huge terrace with its various seating areas is so inviting that we had difficulties to get our teenagers to the beach or on a sightseeing daytrip.

The nearby beach is perfect and so large that it is never too crowed, even on a high season weekend.

If accommodation matters to you, this is the perfect place to stay.

Penthouse Paradise

This was our second stay in this wonderful apartment and, once again, we were not disappointed. We were celebrating a family wedding and the extensive patio area was a perfect place to meet, eat and have fun.

The apartment is well-appointed and extremely comfortable. Everything we needed was right there and we had a very relaxing week.

Amazing weeks stay in the luxurious penthouse

We had an unbelievable stay at the penthouse, it was so hard to leave. Our favourite features were the large outdoor terrace space with the hot tub, outdoor kitchen and so much comfortable outdoor furniture for all of our guests to relax on. The breeze up on the penthouse was lovely considering it was a hot week in Spain, and the views from every angle were spectacular. We really enjoyed seeing the flamingos in the distance from the terrace balcony! We can't wait to go back!

A fantastic apartment and location. The owners were very helpful and provide a great service. Very clean and modern. The terrace and the views have to be seen to be believed Outdoor jacuzzi is special. The area is very Spanish, great little bars and restaurants. We have booked another week in May and would thoroughly Reccomend for couples and families girl trips etc

Beautiful apartment, service could have been better.

This review would have been given 5 stars if it hadn’t been for 2 issues we had while on site. Please note if you are travelling outside of the summer months the pool is closed. We missed while reading through ALL the information in the overview that 'The swimming pools are open from middle of June to the middle/end of September and are manned by a life guard.’ Having missed this line and arriving on September 26th, we were not expecting that on the 28th the pool would be closed for the rest of the season. We would not have booked if we knew the pool would be closed. The second issue was the hot tub was not hot. It was very cold. When we advised the owner of this on the first day she said someone would get in touch with us the next day. We never heard from anyone until the 3rd day and found out on the second last day we would not be having it fixed during our time on the island. We understand there was an emergency with another guest, but feel alternative arrangements could have been made and it was frustrating to have to continually follow up the situation on a daily basis. Outside of these two issues the apartment itself is beautiful and it was prefect weather to make use of the outdoor areas. The nights were cool, so the hot tub being hot would have been useful. The unit is about a 10 minute walk to the little town of Isla del Moral. The marina has a few restaurants and we would recommend the Italian. Note that the ice cream shop was closed after the first 2 days and didn’t reopen while we were there. It was a quiet time of year, but nice that the area wasn’t over run with tourists. The beach was beautiful. We did day trips to Sevilla and Tavira. Both recommended and only about an hours drive from the island. In the end, we enjoyed our week and would recommend the apartment, especially for the outside space. Unfortunately we had bad luck that the pool was closed and the hot tub was cold. Service from the owners and local contact could have been more efficient but we were compensated after we asked for a small refund. I hope going forward they will advise guests booking in off season that the pool is closed and that regular checks are done between guests to catch issues such as a cold hot tub.

On the Spanish Algarve, close to excellent golf courses. Within reach of Portugese Algarve and Seville. Great base to explore the southern coast of both Spain and Portugal together with magnificent accomodation set in the peaceful beauty of Isla Canela. A special experience.

Golf: Some superb golf courses are found in the immediate area. The penthouse is some twenty minutes from the new prestigious Jack Nicklaus signature golf and country club at Monte Rei. The club is being marketed as one of the finest international golf courses in Europe. Close by is another superb golf course designed by Seve Ballesteros, at Quinta de Vale. The course opens to the public in October 2007 and is a stunning course. The island of Isla Canela has its own golf course, its an ideal course to start your holiday and a challenge to golfers at all levels. Other excellent courses in the locality include El Rompido, Neuvo Porto in Spain and across the bridge in Portugal there are the further courses of Quinta da Ria, Quinta de Cima and Castro Marim.
