Knoydart is famous for its rugged hills and glens. Some people like to just head off into the wilderness and do their own thing. You may prefer to take advantage of the purpose made mountain-bike tracks, or hire the Ranger Service for an informative guided walk. Check out some of

the options below.

Organised walks – Knoydart Foundation Ranger service - 462242

• Tuesday at 11.30, our Ranger heads out on foot or by Land Rover for a 2.5 hour tour. The timetable changes every week. Costs range from £5 - £15 for adults, and kids go free (or £7.50 if a Land Rover is involved.

• Private walks and Tours: If the scheduled walks and tours don't suit, why not book Ranger Amie privately, who can customise walks and tours to suit your needs. See the timetable page for more information.

• Mindfulness Walks: If you don't fancy an informative guided walk, why not try a sensory one instead? Mindfulness walks help people to relax and focus, whilst undertaking low level exercise. Walks are held once a month on Monday mornings. See the Ranger Service timetable for more information.

Help us achieve our conservation aims by partaking in a day's stalking. We run our stalking operation in a traditional manner, with stalking ponies used to carry carcasses off the hill. We also sell the resulting venison locally. Contact Knoydart Foundation for more details

Childrens Activities

Knoydart Carbon Cycle hire – 462242

Hire a mountain bike to explore further afield, there are many well sign-posted tracks for all

ages and abilities. Like the great red route in the forest with a smaller blue skills loop.

There are also specially run Family fun sessions offering a variety of outdoor focused

activities for our young people to enjoy with their family. Timetable of sessions in this file.

Explore Knoydart in a Nutshell and take part in filling out your activity sheet, which is available from the Knoydart Foundation shop in Inverie.

Off course sometimes the best thing to do is to enjoy the shoreline, picking shells or crabbing. Looking for treasure in amongst the craggy rock pools, building castles or just plain old paddling in the clear shallow and safe waters.
