On the edge of the village of Chapel Stile stands a row of traditional Quarryman cottages, built around 1870 to house workers in the nearby slate quarry and gunpowder works. Lovingly looked after by its owners Holly Tree Cottage is warm & comfortable with all you could need for a relaxing break. Combined with superb views across the valley towards Lingmoor and The Langdale Pikes it has been a favourite of visitors for many years. Entering the cottage by the lounge door brings you into a cosy room with twin sofas and an open fire. Beyond the lounge is the newly fitted kitchen/diner which has all you could need to cook for the family. At the rear of the cottage is the recently refurbished main bathroom (with shower over) & also a drying closet which comes in very handy for the Lake District's occasional rainy days, with access to the back of the property. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, the master room features a king-size bed and has views across the valley to Lingmoor Fell, there is also an ensuite WC and hand wash basin. The twin room has 3ft beds & an ensuite shower room.
