"Le Grand Rêve" is a 400 year old country house recently renovated. It is perfect for families or groups to unwind, relax and explore the beautiful countryside of South West France. It is an ideal location to celebrate that special birthday, anniversary or reunion with friends and family. This spectacular house is set within its own grounds of 10 Hectares (24 acres).

The property is surrounded by an abundance of medieval villages (Monpazier, Belves, Cadouin, St Avit Senieur etc), numerous markets, wonderful restaurants, spectacular gardens, music recitals, Chateaux, pre-historic cave paintings, water theme parks, canoeing on the river etc... all within easy reach of our peaceful and harmonious property. You will effortlessly find something to excite all ages.

However, you may not be able to tear yourselves away from simply relaxing by the pool (exclusive) with a good book, glass of wine and take in the spectacular view over the valley.

The property offers a home from home experience in an environment which is spacious both inside and outside the property. The house is positioned to the side of a stunning hamlet in an environment which is simply breath-taking. Space, privacy and tranquility abounds here however, for those guests wishing to get together for a meal or a drink they will find plenty of communal space. The private terrace of 205 m² equipped with barbecue provides an idyllic setting for cooking and indulging in purchases from the numerous local markets. The kitchen island is a frequent gathering point where we are told that holiday memories have been made and will last a lifetime. Whilst we leave our guests peacefully to enjoy their holiday should you need anything you will usually find the owner discretely working outside maintaining the gardens and only too pleased to help you. We will be very happy to booking restaurants, taxis, visits etc. for you to make your holiday with us just perfect.

Why not enjoy aperitifs whilst relaxing playing the classic French game of 'Pétanque' on our own pitch or for those a little more energetic table tennis, badminton/volleyball and pool table are also available on site.

All beds are dressed with high quality Egyptian cotton linen to provide you with a luxurious peaceful night’s sleep. Towels and pool towels are provided during your stay for on-site use. An independent laundry room is also available to our guests.

Just 40 minute drive from Bergerac airport with easy motorway access your approach to our property concludes with our stunning and elegant fruit tree lined driveway.

We take great pleasure in presenting our guests with a free seasonal offering from our garden.

"Le Grand Rêve", is a haven of tranquility, a peaceful, harmonious base for those wishing to discover the riches of the area or indeed those seeking to unwind by the pool with a good book and glass of wine … as this is of course one of the finest wine producing regions in the world!

About Wendy Clare-Dunbavand

17 years ago i moved to France with my three very young children. Soon after finding myself here a single mother with no French language skills. I decided to stay and commence transforming a property which needed totally renovating into our family home and holiday rental. In hindsight it was a pretty crazy thing to have considered i could achieve and has certainly been a labour of love. Over the years there have been ups and downs but today I am so proud of the achievements of my now adult bilingual children and of our home which i am delighted to be able to share with you.

Today happy and excited by life i intend to enjoy and share much laughter with others as life i believe is for living. Can't wait to meet you :)) whom ever you may be!
