Why David Grindlay chose Fort Augustus
Love the location, great touring centre, close to the pubs and bars of Fort Augustus. I love to sit by the Caledonian Canal with a drink and watch the boats pass down the through the lock staircase in the centre of town (about 5 minutes walk from the apartment). Loads of nice walks or bike rides available locally and slightly further afield, such as the beautiful Glen Affric.
What makes this Apartment unique
Wonderful renovated abbey with all mod cons in a beautiful location.

Very comfortable & well equipped
The apartment was a perfect base for me. Very comfortable, very well equipped and an extremely comfortable bed. I will certainly return to this apartment.
Hi Julie

Cheers

Lovely apartment great setting in the perfect location
We really enjoyed our stay in June 2017. The apartment is great it has everything we needed with a really good shower and super comfortable bed that we struggled to get out of in the morning. I would recommend it anyone and book it again myself when I go back to Scotland.
Wonderful place
We found the property in Ft. Augustus to be the perfect base for our exploration of the Great Glen. We will book again upon our return.
The property is in a fantastic location and is exactly as the description describes!
The facilities and standard of the apartment are excellent. The kitchen is well equipped and the bedroom very comfortable. An added bonus is access to the Netflix account!
Comfortable, well appointed and well maintained.
The flat was very comfortable, contained everything that we needed during our twelve day stay and, being part of The Highland Club, allowed us access to all of its facilities such as the heated indoor pool and sauna. Fort Augustus proved to be an ideal base from which we were able to make day trips to many parts of The Highlands.
Thanks for your nice comments. Glad you enjoyed your stay.
Fantastic place.
This is a super apartment. The abbey is a wonderful peaceful atmospheric place to stay. Loved the pool in the chapel, the pool room, table tennis, outdoor chess. It felt a bit like being at Hogwarts. Would recommend this apartment and would happily stay there again.
Lovely review, glad you had a nice stay.
Location
4 star rated (by Visit Scotland 2010) luxury self catering apartment condo on the banks of Loch Ness. The apartment is located within the historic St Benedicts Abbey (now called The Highland Club) which has been sympathetically upgraded to modern standards but retaining most original features. The Highland Club is sited in 20 acres of private grounds with many on-site amenities including outdoor barbecue areas and the Boathouse Restaurant. Visit the local restaurants, bars and hotels which are only a five minute walk away. Note The pool is closed till further notice. Watch cricket on the pitch across from the apartment (summer only) or have a game of tennis on the private court, all within the Abbey grounds. Have a drink by the canal, while watching the boats pass through the 5 locks and swing bridge in the heart of town. Cruise on Loch Ness from the pier just outside the Abbey grounds. Maybe you will see the Monster. Explore the extensive local path network or visit nearby historic Urquhart Castle. Visit at Aonach Mor ski and bike area (27miles South), take the gondola to the summit for fantastic views over Fort William and Loch Linnhe. Try the cross country and downhill mountain bike trails as used by the UCI World Championship. Go dolphin watching - boats leave from Inverness (55mins North by car) to go dolphin watching on the Moray Firth, probably the most reliable place to spot dolphins in Scotland. Located in the Heart of the Highlands, the apartment is less than hours drive to Eilan Donan Castle, Isle of Skye, Cairngorm National Park and many other popular destinations.
