BEAUTIFULLY FURNISHED 3 bedroom and 2 bathroom PENTHOUSE apartment with spectacular views over the Sierra de Mijas mountains and fairways of the magnificent Alhaurin Golf Resort from both lounge and bedroom terraces and what is the largest roof terrace in the resort. This terrace is full of orange and lemon trees and is the perfect, peaceful place to relax and sunbathe. A swimming pool in well kept gardens is by the apartment. Whilst perfect for non-golfers, it is a golfer's paradise - Ballesteros designed the course which, incredibly, is built on the side of a mountain against the stunning backdrop of the Sierra de Mijas mountains. Breathtaking tee shots and manicured greens ensure every round is an unforgettable experience! Dining is in the air-conditioned Andalucian-style Clubhouse and minutes away is lively Alhaurin with its quaint Old Town and many restaurants. It is just 15 minutes to sandy beaches of lively Fuengirola or quiet La Cala, 20 to Marbella and 25 to Puerto Banus.

THE STUNNING ALHAURIN GOLF RESORT is set in a magnificent mountainous landscape with spectacular views of the Sierra de Mijas, Sierra de las Nieves Nature Park, World Biosphere Reserve and the Mediterranean Sea. It is just minutes from historic Mijas, the quaint old town of Alhaurin el Grande and the beaches of Fuengirola and Marbella coast. It has superb 4-star facilities including the Andalusian Club House and La Ventilla Restaurant and the magnificent 18-hole golf course designed by legendary golfer the late Severiano Ballesteros.

For those interested in golf, the course is a par 72 and comprises 5 par 3 holes, 5 par 5s and 8 par 4s each one different from the rest, all of them challenging, demanding, original and fun. Over 18 holes you come to enjoy the superb contrast between the manicured fairways and rough and untamed surroundings of the Sierra de Mijas. The superb Golf Academy is under Associate Professor Luis Porcel Cardona.

THE APARTMENT is marble throughout, furnished to a luxurious standard and has 3 bedrooms, 2 of which have direct terrace access, and 2 bathrooms, an excellent kitchen and a large lounge with dining area that leads onto a southerly facing terrace. From here you access what is the largest roof terrace on the Alhaurin Resort which has numerous orange and lemon trees, lush plants and shrubs and cacti - the perfect place to relax and sunbathe. The terraces overlook the well kept gardens, fairways and spectacular nearby mountain scenery.

THE SWIMMING POOL is near the apartment and is in well kept gardens and used by only a few guests from nearby apartments - sun loungers are provided.

A LIFT takes you to the floor of the apartment from both the ground floor and the secure basement garage where there is a reserved private parking space.

THE COSTA DEL SOLAREA: 320 days a year of sunshine speaks for itself and means the Costa del Sol is the perfect all year round coast to visit with the certainty of hot summers and warm winters. The area around the Alhaurin Resort has everything you could want to make your holiday varied and interesting. The town of Marbella presents both the old and new faces of the Costa del Sol and is just a 20 minute drive along the coast road which has more fine beaches, restaurants, bars and great shopping. El Casco Antigo, Marbella's charming Old Town, is a warren of whitewashed streets with authentic tapas bars and is a vibrant place to visit day or night. And don’t miss Marbella’s famous Orange Square!

The quaint seaside fishing town of Nerja along the coast is another ‘must see’ as are Andalucia’s nearby scenic mountains.

Further afield you can easily reach the historic mountain towns of Rhonda and Granada or take a bit longer and go to Seville or Gibraltar or even across the Mediterranean to Tangiers.

immaculate apartment

The apartment was very spacious and immaculately clean. It had everything you needed in it and more. The kitchen was very well equipped and the rep left us coffee, tea, water and milk which was really appreciated. Beds very comfortable all the rooms had shutters and very spacious wardrobes with plenty of hangers for clothes. We did not use the air con but it was available and easy to work. It was great to have a TV that was straight forward to operate as well. We felt very secure in the apartment and it was quiet no noise from neighbouring properties. We used the pool which again was very quiet and very well maintained. The WOW factor is the roof terrace which is massive and well set up with sunbeds, table and chairs and a lovely big BBQ. The breeze across the terrace was very welcome when the temparature was up. We found the apartment easily and Nicky met us there and showed us around. She was very helpful during our stay and easy to contact. The owners were very helpful with local info and hire car suggestions and the communication was good. We visited the two bars that were close by fro lunch several times and the BP garage was really handy for supplies. The pool is nto attached to the property and is just round the corner in a garden attached to another block- not a problem for us but maybe for those who like to be close to a pool. Pool had toilet facilities and was very clean but it did not have sunbeds. We were provided with lightweight beds which we could carry round. We did visit the Golf clubhouse hoping for a lunch and to sit out on the terrace but found the staff non existent and unhelpful and i would not rush back. Lovely stay, very relaxing and easy, Would highly recommend this apartment if you are visiting the area.You will need a car as the bus service did not sem to be very regular or easy to work out.

Thoroughly Recommended

Ok we admit it were snobs. Having spent our holidays in a minimum of 4 star Hotels for the past 15 years this was an experiment for us to see if we liked it. Well we weren't disappointed this is excellent accommodation and everything is provided. Communication was excellent throughout, We flew from East Midlands on a Monarch flight to Malaga picking up a hire car and driving to the accommodation where we were met and provided with a warm welcome and explanation of where everything was. Weather was brilliant 24 - 27C every day. Ideally located to visit Marbella, Mijas and other local areas. Excellent views of the golf course and Mijas Mountains. 4 star hotels? forget it we are going back next year.

Beautiful Penthouse Apartment

Just spent 2 weeks at this apartment which is clean, spacious, furnished to a high standard and well maintained. It is private and situated in a quiet gated community. The roof terrace is huge with beautiful views.

There was tea, coffee, sugar, water and milk on our arrival and washing machine/dishwasher tablets etc all provided.

Alhaurin is a 5 minute drive where you will find shops and a variety of restaurants and takeaways.

The owners had thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable and hassle free. I would definitely recommend this apartment.

A beautiful spacious apartment with a fantastic roof terrace (wonderful views). The pool was great and never busy.We had a wonderful holiday and hope to return to explore this area more. We would definitely return to this apartment as it was secure and private and had everything we needed!

Marvelous

We truly enjoyed our holidays at this apartment. It was luxurious, spacious and had all the equippment we would and even wouldn't expect :) The apartment was very well maintained and clean. There was coffee, tea, sugar, salt, olive oil and a bottle of cold mineral water - a blessing on our arrival :)

The towels were great - and the quantity was more than sufficient :) Washing machine was very helpful. We didin't use a grill but we thought it was nice to have it. The terraces and the views were breathtaking :))) Definatley - A MUST!

This apartment is just 25 minutes from Malaga airport via the AP 7 motorway or the inland A404 route. Either take a taxi from outside Arrivals, hire a self-drive car or we can arrange a chauffeur service to whisk you to the apartment. Airlines to Malaga include easy Jet, Aer Lingus, Ryanair, Monarch, British Airways, Iberia, BMIbaby depending on your departure airport. Full directions are sent with all bookings.

Golf: Alhaurin Golf has two courses and is truly a golfer's paradise. The late Seve Ballesteros designed the course which, incredibly, is built on the side of a mountain against the stunning backdrop of the Sierra de Mijas. Breathtaking tee shots and manicured greens ensure every round is an unforgettable experience. Numerous other courses are within a 20 minute drive.

Ski: Just two hours away from the apartment is the magnificent Sierra Nevada ski resort usually open from November to May. There are few places in the world where you can ski in the morning then head to the beach for the afternoon, but the proximity of Sierra Nevada to the Med allows this. Don't be fooled into thinking that the skiing will be second rate either. 20 lifts serve 100 km of piste and snowfall can be amongst the highest in Europe. The pistes lend themselves to the intermediate but there is ample off-piste skiing for the more advanced. For apres ski there are some good restaurants and lively bars. When you've had enough, simply head back to the sandy beaches of Fuengirola and La Cala near the apartment!

This luxury apartment is air-conditioned and has marble floors throughout, a large lounge/dining room with leather suite and dining table for 6, leading out to a spacious terrace and also a large roof terrace for eating alfresco and for sun bathing. Bedroom 1 has an en-suite bathroom with twin beds that can be pushed together as required, as can the beds in Bedroom 3. Bedroom 2 is made up as a queen size bed but beds can be pushed apart - it also has a TV. Bedrooms 2 and 3 share the second bathroom.
