Nicky had this property built in 2001 and loves the harbour and walks around Mevagissey.
Nicky purchased this House in 2001
Why Nicky chose Mevagissey
Rivendell has a "home from home" feel about it. With quality fixtures and fittings, it is more than just a holiday home.
What makes this House unique
With 2 lounges, 2 balconies and a large garden with country views, Rivendell has the advantages of being a short walk from the village, the harbour, a quiet beach as well as the coast path. It is extremely spacious with plenty of areas to relax away from it all. The views of sunsets over the valley from Rivendell are spectacular at any time of the year - remember your camera!

"A really great house where nothing is missing, absolutely nothing!! Not only modern, comfortable and clean, but everything is also furnished with great attention to detail. You feel completely at home 😊"
Thank you for your lovely review! We're so pleased that you had a great holiday and enjoyed Rivendell as your home. We look forward to welcoming back when you next visit Mevagissey!
Mevagissey is one of the few remaining active Cornish fishing harbours. In the small village you can enjoy the local shops, boutiques and art galleries. There are cafes, pubs and restaurants, as well as places to stop for a cream tea, fish and chips or an ice-cream. A visit to the museum and aquarium on the harbour is recommended, both of which are free of charge. Freshly caught fish are often available to buy from the quayside. There are many walks that can be enjoyed from Rivendell, but most popular are those along the coastal path leading from the harbour. Mevagissey is fortunate to have a cycle path that meanders to St. Austell and beyond and has a ferry to take you to Fowey. There are a great variety of activities to suit all interests. Fishing trips and scenic boat trips are available from the harbour. If you enjoy watersports or a day out at the seaside, sandy beaches are close by. For garden enthusiasts many popular attractions are within easy reach, including The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Caerhays Castle and The Eden Project. There are several National Trust properties also worth a visit such as Lanhydrock, Trerice and Trelissick. A visit to the nearby 18th century harbour village of Charlestown is also a must. One of Britain's most popular film locations, it was used in The Eagle Has Landed and more recently, the new Poldark series.
