This charming detached country house with over 1 acre of mature gardens. Cherrytrees Farm is the perfect 'get away from it all' base to explore London, Norwich (1 hour) and the South East. A real 'home from home' 5 star rated experience.

Spacious accommodation includes large open hallway with solid hardwood floors to all ground floor rooms.Three reception rooms inc; Lounge with open fireplace and wood burner, Leather Sofas, TV DVD. Elegant Dining room. Study/music room. Traditional Farmhouse kitchen includes double electric oven/gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer etc. Granite table & chairs, french doors open to a beautiful solid hardwood decked verandah perfect for 'al fresco' dining or relaxing with quality outdoor furniture & cushions. Utility room W/M & T/Dryer. door to WC. Wi-Fi.

Upstairs; Four double bedrooms with views over gardens & orchard. (1 x ensuite). Large luxury family bathroom tiled in marble with corner bath, separate shower & WC. Separate games room with table tennis table in garden.

There are four double bedrooms, 2 king size and 2 double. There is also a travel cot & highchair available.

Please note that there is an adjoining door from bedroom 3 & 4 (access to bedroom 3 is via bedroom 4).

There are several agricultural non-habitable outbuildings on another part of the land, including a storage unit & large greenhouse which are private and therefore not accessible.

Cherrytrees Farm has been our family home for over 20 years and is very well furnished and maintained. It is always warm & cosy -never damp or unloved during winter months.

Great weekend getaway

Perfect house for a weekend getaway. The house had all the amenities entertain a group of us. Nigel and Mandy were great, responded to emails quickly and provided us with all the information needed for the house and surrounding area.

Got what was advertised in one

Stayed with my partner and families for one week that's three couples and one granddaughter plenty of room bedrooms bathrooms and kitchen the whole house was clean tidy plenty of space .love the gardener nice to have the use of the barbecue we loved the table tennis room we had some great games between the families. The owner were lovely very helpful couldn't do enough for us would recommend it to anyone who wanted to stay in the area. Me and my family had a great time..

Five star family weekend

Enjoyed a fabulous long weekend to celebrate a family birthday. The house is furnished to a very high spec with every piece of equipment imaginable in the kitchen. Really impressed with the well stocked store cupboard which is something I haven't experienced in other houses I've stayed. The veranda across the back of the house was beautiful and we ate all of our meals outside but the big selling point of this property is the huge garden. We love to play cricket, rounders, touch football etc when we are all together as a family, and with so much space everyone's competitive sideline really came out. The table tennis room was also a big hit when rain stopped play. Thanks to Amanda and Nigel for the lovely chocolate cake and relaxed welcome. We are already talking about a return visit next year.

Phantastic place!

Absolutely loved the house. Very high standard. Ideal for our large party. Breakfast on the verandah was a perfect start to the day. Thanks a lot to Amanda and Nigel - and their friend Helen who guided us to the house over the phone in the middle of the night!

Gorgeous spacious house, perfect for a break

We spent three nights in Cherrytrees farm as a group of 8 friends over new years and it was perfect. The house was in a beautiful condition when we arrived.

The kitchen is spacious and well stocked with all the pots, plans and plates we could need.

The bedrooms were all nicely made up and comfortable. NB: you have to walk through bedroom 3 to get to bedroom 4, but we worked that out ok between us.

We made use of some of the board games in the cupboard, with the dining room a great space for 8 to sit comfortably.

The DVD player in the living room also got some use, and there were good sofas/armchairs for us all. Managed to get the wood burner going on the 2nd day (needed newspaper!) but some of us found it too hot once it was going!

We explored some of the local area but not much as the house was so comfortable and the weather wasn't great. More to see and do - we would definitely come again!

Excellent

We stayed four weeks to visit with family and check out old haunts. The house is very comfortable and was ideal for our large family gatherings. The responsiveness of the owners and the property itself made a significant contribution to the overall success of our vacation.

Cherrytrees Farm is located in the heart of constable country just a few minutes drive from the picturesque village of Dedham, with its numerous tourist attractions including boating along the river to Flatford Mill. Dedham has 4 award winning restaurants, numerous gastro pubs serving fresh local produce, a local crafts mill and a traditional english tea shop - open 7 days per week.

The small village of Ardleigh is a short drive (10 minute walk) and has two churches, a village shop, post office, traditional pub and an excellent 'fish & chip' shop.

Manningtree is just 2 miles away, offering several traditional english pubs, an excellent italian restaurant with a traditional wood fired pizza oven and many international restaurants inc. indian & chinese. Manningtree main line railways station with direct trains to Ipswich (10 minutes), Norwich (50 minutes) and London (55 minutes). Local taxi service is also available.

Cherrytrees Farm is just 7 miles from Colchester, the oldest recorded town in England with many attractions including Colchester Castle, Castle Park with boating lake & Roman Ruins, Museums, weekly market, department stores & shops, bars & over 40 excellent restaurants open every day. Buses to Colchester town run every 30 minutes from just outside Cherrytrees Farm (last bus 2300 hours).

Clacton on Sea, Walton on the Naze & Frinton on Sea is just 20 minutes drive, offering many beach activities including a Pier and Amusements for all ages.

Easy access to Central London with a direct line to London in under 1 hour from Manningtree Station which is just 5 mins drive away. All main services are connected water, gas, electricity and wireless high speed broadband.

A non refundable deposit of 25% is required to secure the booking, balance due six 45 DAYS prior holiday start date.
SECURITY DEPOSIT
A refundable security deposit of £250 is required to be paid on arrival, this deposit will be refunded within 7 days from departure less any prior agreed charges, if applicable.
