Why Mrs Anna Hurst chose Romney Marsh

We fell in love with this beautiful part of East Sussex, and the house which needed much love and care to bring her up to a more modern standard, having been a much loved family home.

The family and homely feel is one of the true comforts of this house and is a home from home experience and we hope this adds to your enjoyment and relaxation at the property.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Lovely location and amazing garden

  • 4 of 5

The property was in a great location and we enjoyed some lovely walks. The local shop was adequate but the café on the harbour and the gallery and tea room were lovely. Rye itself had everything we needed and was only a 5 minute drive away.

The property itself was a lovely family home and was filled with everything we needed and could have wanted. It was a little small for two families sharing, particularly as it lacked a second bathroom but we knew this would probably be the case. As a home for one family, it would be perfect.

Communication from the hosts was excellent too.
