Remodeled 2 Bdr, 2 Bath With Screened Porch Sleeps 8
About Gabe Fauquher
We have been working on our properties here since 2009, building a small, cozy space for wellness, yoga and recreation in the wilderness of western Indiana. My husband and I purchased the 15 acre parcel which included this Farmhouse Cottage and the log cabin next door which is inside Shades State Park and Pine Hills Nature Preserve. The surrounding property is approximately 6000 acres of gorgeous old growth forest, rivers, canyons, and pure silence and serenity. Our vision was to combine my work as a Life Change Consultant and Yoga Instructor with his work as a Naturopathic Doctor specializing in nutrition and wild plants.

Why Gabe Fauquher chose Waveland
This property is located so you can literally walk right off the driveway into Shades State Park and Pine Hills Nature Preserve. There are approximately 6000 acres of wilderness that surround this property and the trees are magnificent! We also provide a park pass that gives you free access to all the surrounding parks.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
This property is a photographers dream. The large acreage and proximity to the parks make it an extremely peaceful place as well. The large screened in porch is also a plus during the summer months and it makes for a perfect gathering space in the evenings.

Great location, easy check in/out
The location was perfect for our girls weekend kayaking trip. The directions were easy to follow. The cabin was cute and spacious. Love the screened porch and fire pit area.
Weekend with the guys
This property was very nice, other than the grill is completely rusted away and didn’t even work. The air conditioning also stopped working. Other than that, very nice open space & property.
Stay at Waveland
Nice stay at house. No phone service a little concern. Very clean and peaceful. Loved early morning listening to the birds and drinking coffee on back deck.
Not as expected
A/C went out 2nd night. 80 degrees at 8 am inside house. Took all day to get it fixed and went up to 86 degrees inside. Oven didn't appear to be cleaned inside in 3 years. Dishwasher didn't clean the dishes. Outlet in frt and rear porch didn't work. Pullout sofa bed was thin material over springs...not usable. Other beds were comfortable. Quilts were torn and frayed exposing batting. Freezer was dirty inside. Shower had rust in all corners. I expected more based on what the rates were. Was not offered a discount based on A/C failure. I would not recommend.
Great weekend getaway
Spent a lovely Memorial Day weekend here. The farmhouse is spacious (and the screened deck a huge plus for outside enjoyment) with plenty of kitchen utensils (also very helpful). The proximity to the state parks was great, and we really enjoyed the fire pit. We would definitely visit again and would 100% recommend!
Lovely property with great views!
My husband and I absolutely loved our stay here. It was a truly a relaxing experience and really close to some awesome state parks!
The only thing that I would suggest to the owners would be get a Wifi Hotspot or a landline. Since you are wonderfully in the middle of nature, cell service non-existent and this way there would be a way to contact someone in case of an emergency. We are already looking forward to planning our next stay here!
