It’s not often that actuality is better than the photos when it comes to holiday rentals… I’ve stayed in many villas across Florida and this was our first trip to Cape Coral. This was by far the best villa I have ever stayed in – in Florida, or around Europe.
The booking process was very easy and questions to Steve were responded to instantly.
The décor and appliances were modern and of very good quality. The master bedroom and bathroom were simply amazing. Likewise the living area, kitchen and other rooms were of an equal standard. As you go outside the villa you’re presented with a beautiful pool, hot tub, ample outside space with BBQ and all of this area provides views of the canal and boat ‘Juicy Lucy.’
We decided to hire the boat to complement our stay and she was great fun! Captain Bob visited on our first morning to provide an orientation of both the boat and the area. He was very informative providing some great detail for our stay. Watching the dolphins en-route to Cabbage Key was a definite highlight. If you’re looking to try something different on your vacation another highlight was taking a ‘Discovery Flying Lesson,’ from Page Field airport with Paragon Flight Training School. This provided some great views of the surrounding area and the impressive canal system Cape Coral offers.
The villa is within walking distance to Publix and other amenities such as Papa John’s and a local bar. A popular destination for tourists and locals was ‘Rumrunners.’ This was only a short drive or boat ride away and they provide some great views of the boats arriving and departing the canal system. It takes roughly 35 minutes to reach ‘Rumrunners’ by boat.
As everything was perfect upon arrival we had no reason to interact with the management company during our stay, but during checkout they were very courteous.
We flew to Orlando Intl then boarded an internal flight with Southwest to Ft Myers Airport. This was a fairly cheap and short flight and the driving distance from Ft Myers Airport to ‘Blue Waters,’ was a mere 30 minutes.
I would definitely recommend Cape Coral and especially this villa to all my friends, family & colleagues.
PS – It was great to be in a villa which offers wireless Internet at a very fast speed and pool / spa heat which you can really feel!
The Villa BlueWaters is exceptional! We loved your home. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the pool and the amazing dock overlooking the canal!
Mr. Butler and the management company were very helpful and responsive to our needs.
We were not disappointed and hope to visit your beautiful home again.
We had a wonderful time at BlueWaters. As others have said the pictures do not do the home justice. We had cooler temperatures in the morning and were able to open the house up to the pool and veranda seating area. It was great having our coffee outside at the pool and looking at the palm trees and water in the morning. Steve was great and VERY responsive. The girls appreciated the bikes provided by Steve to ride the neighborhood. We rented a boat from Captain John and he and Captain Bob were great! Highly recommend this home and Steve.
We are staying here as I write this. What a great place. We are seven people (three generations) and the extra room is wonderful. The pool and tiki but are so fun and we enjoy cooking on the grill every night. The mgmt. company helped us the first day when we requested a broom and dustpan. To all of you coming here, you won't regret it !!
We're writing this review 3 months after returning from Bluewaters and Cape Coral and it is bringing back such wonderful memories.
We rented the villa for 8 nights after a week in Disney and it proved to be the perfect release after a very hectic schedule.
We considered taking the easier option of staying in a villa closer to Orlando for our second week but my wife had her heart set on Cape Coral and I'm so glad she convinced me!
From our very first contact with villa owner Steve we knew we'd made the right decision. His assistance with planning and even being a bit flexible with the dates as we were trying to work our schedule out was invaluable.
We were sent some very comprehensive information in plenty of time before our vacation, including driving directions from Orlando and things to do during our stay, restaurants, beaches, shops etc, all of which were spot on.
On arrival at the villa we were absolutely bowled over. This place is stunning......and then you walk through the back to the pool, lanai, dock....WOW!
Yes, it is very well impressive and well equipped with mod cons but is also genuinely homely and it didn't take us long at all to feel settled and begin enjoying our second part of our vacation.
We checked in with the management company on our first morning who are 'very efficient'! At this point you have to pay the costly end of stay cleaning bill but you can see where the money goes. During our stay I dropped a tablet and it bounced under the sofa. On tentative retrieval, we were amazed....the whole place is absolutely spotless, not your usual holiday rental property.
We rented a boat for 3 days in the middle of our stay which turned out to be a bit of an expensive luxury. A combination of unfortunate bad weather and the fact the kids (11 and 8) showed a preference for playing in the pool and feeding the fish and terrapins from the dock meant one enjoyable trip to Picnic Island was the only outing it got.
Our sole regret was that we only stayed for 8 days here. There's so much to see and do in the area that we left with a feeling of having unfinished business but that obviously leaves the door open for a return visit!
As much as we like to try something new every year, another visit to Bluewaters (maybe with friends to fulfil the villa's potential) is inevitable.
Cape Coral is flourishing and it's not hard to spot why. Set round 400 miles of canals across the Caloosahatchee River from the City of Fort Myers, the town is ideally situated for boaters just minutes from the Gulf of Mexico.
Dropping anchor and wading to one of the area's famous white sandy beaches to pick some shells and mooring at a waterfront restaurant for lunch becomes a daily reality. Or you may prefer to watch the dolphins, manatees, ospreys, pelicans and try your angling skills to see what draws large numbers of fishermen here from all over the world. The local lifestyle is centered on the water and year round sunshine but that is not the whole story.
The area has a wide choice of top grade golf courses, superb tennis facilities, a huge choice of shopping and a vast selection of great restaurants. Cape Coral is pretty much the opposite in style to the developed tourist area around Orlando but is actually just three hours drive from the Disney attractions.
Other Activities: Boating, jet-skiing, nature reserves.
