A gorgeous apartment, wonderful location
What a great apartment for our stay in Lucca! Our girls loved having their own room and bathroom upstairs. We fully utilised the large kitchen (for our Italian Christmas lunch). The apartment was warm and cosy, and even included some nice Christmas touches. The view over the Piazza was marvellous. Lucia, Carolina and Guilia could not have been more helpful and welcoming. The only downside was climbing those 48 stairs each day.
I am glad that you enjoyed your stay in my apartment and that your girls were happy about their room and their bathroom, it’s been a pleasure to have you as our guests and we hope to see you again in the future,
Thanks Lucia, Giulia and Carolina
We enjoyed our stay in this apartment. It was clean, comfortable, and spacious. It provides a wonderful sense of the local history. The apartment is close to many shops, restaurants, markets, and museums/landmarks. As mentioned in other reviews, there are several steps to the apartment so it is not suggested for those unable to use stairs easily.
Our hostess, Lucia, and her property assistant, Agnese, were easy to work with and welcoming. Any questions were handled quickly. It was a lovely place to stay and made our visit to Lucca perfect.
I am very happy that you had a lovely time! It was a pleasure to host you in my apartment!
Besides being in the heart of Lucca's walled city, our contact, Carolina, was perfect, providing great information and responding quickly to all questions and requests. This was critical as one of our party got quite sick during our stay. There is one caution--the four flights of steps would be daunting to those with physical infirmities.
Charming flat with well appointed interior.
Clean, nicely located within easy walking distance to the major sites and Lucia, the host is very pleasant and responsive. I would happily stay there anytime.
very nice especially the "magic window"
excellent location, very good people to look after your needs, very clean, and very quite
we loved it!

Antique Luxury In Lucca
We stayed at the apartment in mid-April 2017. What a view! It overlooks Lucca's classic Piazza Anfiteatro. It is well-appointed, with a pietre dure kitchen table, a very comfy 4-poster bed, a soft couch, fast wifi, cable tv, ac, microwave, stove, plus bathrooms upstairs and downstairs. There are attractive wooden shutters which do a great job of keeping it dark in the morning, until you open them to behold a clear blue Lucchese sky.
There's also an upstairs bedroom with AC and full bath.
The location is convenient to all of the city's attractions - it's a flat, compact city - easy to walk around in.
We had a lot of luggage, due to our 60-day trip, which was a workout, carrying up the stairs, but it was worth it. Try to pack light if you can.
Carolina was a good hostess, she left us a nice bottle of wine, and gave us a map, where she pointed out many tips/directions on Lucca highlights, including restaurants, sights, and, most important, a very unique cultural event in Lucca-
Every night at 7pm, the Church of San Giovanni presents an opera concert, featuring arias from the Italian masters - native son Puccini, plus Verdi, Rossini, et al. Go see this event -it's in a beautiful setting, with fabulous acoustics, and it only costs 20 euro/pp (compare that to the last concert ticket you bought).
Another unique treat - rent a bike and cruise around the perimeter of Lucca, on its famous walls, which have been converted into a park.
We'll be coming back to Lucca someday.
It was so lovely to host such lovely guests!! Thanks for staying with us!
